Vaccine or not?

Vaccines should be able to sell themselves. If there really was an urgent need for them of if there was evidence that they worked as advertised, then people would be lining up like crazy. No need for cash, doughnut, and other incentives.
And as you well know, these aren't vaccines.

This disease is so severe that people refuse to get vaccinated and doctors refuse to treat it. It's amazing.

So, wouldn't you say that Djokovic might have the right to look at that data, weigh the risks, and make a choice whether or not to inject himself with something that could cost him his professional career (or life)?
Of course. But to be fair, a country has a right to control its borders too. I'm glad our country isn't Australia but if they have the rule they can't make exceptions for star athletes

If they can’t make exceptions why do they even have the waiver process?

Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving on Monday reasserted that he won’t reconsider taking the COVID-19 vaccine despite his teammate Kevin Durant’s knee injury that is expected to sideline him for weeks.

Although getting vaccinated would make the seven-time All-Star point guard eligible to play in all Brooklyn Nets’ games, Irving said he won’t be swayed, as his teammate is potentially set to be sidelined for six weeks

Athletes playing for New York City’s professional sports are mandated to be vaccinated to play in the city’s public venues. The Nets reversed course last month and are allowing Irving to play in road games.

That’s my decision already, and I’m standing on it,” Irving said.

If the government is offering free money it won’t be worth the bs you have to go through to get it.

I think a lot of people are just learning - or starting to learn - there is no such thing as free government money. The inflation tax man has come to collect.

In an alarming development hearkening back to the punitive psychiatric practices of the former Soviet Union, a Maine doctor is getting her license suspended and has been ordered to take a psychological evaluation for deviating from mainstream orthodoxy on the treatment of Covid-19.

The MIT-educated physician Dr. Meryl Ness, a 70-year old doctor who has been practicing medicine for four decades, has reportedly been prescribing Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine to several of her Covid patients. While many Americans have used both drugs for the treatment of Covid-19, and have anecdotally testified to their efficacy, the drugs have not been endorsed by the U.S. biomedical establishment for the treatment of the coronavirus.

@NurseGoodVol I'm sorry it took me so long to get back to you on this, I wanted to double check with my wife /MiL to make sure I answered correctly.

My FiL was put on azithromycin for pneumonia at Christmas 2015. The resultant arrhythmia wasn't correctable by his pacemaker and led to his hospitalization. Doctors were not able to keep him stable and his heart had taken so much damage that he decided to decline extraordinary measures.
