Tears would well up in the 5-year-old kindergartner’s eyes whenever he saw other children snacking—a luxury to the boy ever since he was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in late January. The diagnosis came 1 1/2 months after he got his second dose of a Chinese COVID-19 vaccine.

Puncture marks are filling up every finger of both of the boy’s hands due to the constant finger pricking needed to monitor his blood sugar level, according to his father. He gets four doses of insulin every day, and every meal is weighed and measured for carbs.

The boy belongs to a group of between 600 and 1,000 Chinese children diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes between last October and May, according to an open letter signed by parents in this cohort. Beijing ushered a nationwide campaign in late October to inoculate children aged 3 to 11—the age group covering most of the diabetic patients.

Most strains since delta are like bad colds EL. It’s not knuckledraggers I’m seeing hospitalized. It’s the fully shotted up group with pulmonary embolisms and 2 limbs with clots in them. Yes if much prefer a cold to a PE or deep vein thrombosis.

Earlier in June 2022, an 11-year-old girl in Hong Kong fell ill with myocarditis three weeks after getting vaccinated. She is currently in a stable condition after completing heart surgery.

According to the reports which Hong Kong’s Department of Health (DH) received, three elderly citizens had taken the same vaccination within 14 days before they passed away.

At this point does anybody even know the definition of science? What exactly are most airlines stance on vaccination requirements. I did a quick search and could find almost nothing in 2022. There are plenty of articles from 2021 discussing the mandates and I think I saw where American Airlines was pushing back the mandate to early 2022 sometime?? Do you know if these mandates ended up getting dropped?

I refused the clot shot. I was willing to get fired over it. Still am.

They never really had a mandate here except that those that refused had to pay a (fine/penalty... whatever) for not getting the shot because "the unvaccinated cost more." Well that sure aged well didn't it? That has been dropped. I don't know what the deal is at AAL. I know that UAL was welcoming back those that had been put on unpaid leave. I hope they gave them the big middle finger and a class action lawsuit.

I’d make them pay the unpaid leave and a hefty new sign on bonus. Cheaper than cancelled flights or training a newby from scratch!

Recently had a connector in Atlanta and flight continued to be pushed back because of pilot and crew shortages. After about 3 hrs, I said screw it and rented a car to drive back to Tennessee. Hack it was only a 3 hr drive anyway and they comped the rental
