Vaccine or not?

Interesting. Why?
Because I work in the public, I do not want to miss work and I haven't, I want to
be around my family and know that I have done everything that I know to do,
and thats how I roll and people can live with it , or get over it or talk about it
for the next 6 months.

We're all aware. Is there a reason you continue to say the same thing over and over again?

If you have anything new to add to the discussion, including new information on vaccine safety, efficacy, or future developments, feel free to share.

I’ll throw in my 2 cents here. I’m a healthcare provider. I reluctantly, but willingly, got the vaccine early. Second dose was mid Jan 2020. I work in a private office setting as well as four different hospitals. My entire family (wife and four kids), except me, got Covid in early March 2020. I do believe that at that particular point in time, the vaccine was in its maximal effective time frame and against the strain it was designed to combat.

However, as Delta came and vaccine effectiveness waned, and then more so with Omicron, it became apparent the virus was becoming less virulent and the vaccine against the OG strain mostly ineffective. I finally got Covid in December (very mild) and again in May (asymptomatic, forced test for exposure at work).

NY State had mandated boosters for all HCP’s by 2/19/2022. They postponed that for 90 days on 2/17/2022 and I never got boosted. Those 90 days came and went in May and there has been no more talk about vaccines or booster mandates since. That should tel people a lot.

Actually, if you really want to keep your family from getting it, you'd not see them at all. So you haven't done "everything that you know to do".

Ok.

So last question -

“IF” the CDC said tomorrow “we made a mistake, we were wrong about the vaccines.”
Would that change your view?

Of course, YOU are. There was never a doubt in your mind, was there?

Actually, she should feel free to share even if she doesn't have any new information, right?

You'd see who the real conspiracy theorists are at the point. They're so convinced they personally saved every grandmother, you could never tell them otherwise.

I agree with everything you said. I assessed my risk given what was known at the time vs. the the unknowns and what several people I respect very much had said about mRNA shots. I provided documentation of antibodies post infection to the hospitals here that were "requiring" vaccination and never heard a word back.

Sure. As long as it's not by cluttering up the thread by copying and pasting the same replies over and over.
