Any reporter that thinks because Vanderbilt has one good season & Tennessee has had several bad, is better than Tennessee is just showing their stupidity and ignorance.

They are spending 30+million on a multipurpose facility that will be complete in 2014. Vandy is loaded and spending big money.

The most depressing/annoying part of all this is back in the day we wouldn't have nearly this many posts involving them on game day, much less during the off season. The fact they're even coming up in conversation is proof enough.

That's why the OP should have never started this conversation, and then got all mad in the process. Vandy delivered a big ass whoopin on us and there's no way to sugar coat that. .

We spent twice that during our darkest days as a program. I applaud the effort by them but they will never win an SEC championship much less even make it to the SEC Champ game. Tennessee, Georgia, USC and Florida offer a much easier path to the NFL for top recruits, still have much nicer facilities than they do and play in front of twice as many fans at home. Even though we are down right now, there will never be a year that Vandy can win the SEC east. EVER! People who are worried about them need to step back and take a deep breath. We are Tennessee and we need to worry about getting back to the top rather than competing against lower tier SEC teams during their best of times and our worst.

Until Vandy can prove that they can beat Tennessee year end and year out like Tennessee has beat them i will never give them credit.3 wins in 30 plus years what a joke. The only way i will give them credit is when they beat Tennessee at least 10 to 15 times in a row.Until then they will always be CANDY to me.

If we keep getting in the recruits from Cincinnati, I am sure we will have a stronger roster than Vandy in a few seasons and will then beat them again.
