In our current situation how the hell do you pay for socialized healthcare? Entitlement spending is part of what’s crushing us. If we cap what doctors, hospitals, and insurance companies can make then who the hell do you think does this. The best and brightest won’t be doctors. It takes huge cash for medical innovations. Didn't Chavez go to Cuba to get better health care when he was dying? And how did THAT work out for him? Yeah. We have no idea how it works and how good it will be when we have the 'state' paying for everything.

To be fair Cuba had some of the best health outcomes for the dollars spent. Honestly that should be a conservative mmindset regardless of the economy ot government behind it. Their medical training is/was also considered elite for low income health care solutions. Health Care is fawked up and being open minded about its delivery wouldn't hurt either perspective of coverage funding views.

Actually the son had wanted a place of his own but he knew how important it was to his mom and his family to keep the house so he willingly made the sacrifice. Also the mom had once had the house passed down to her so she always lived with the comfort and knowledge that she would one day be passing it down to the next generation.

I think I see your problem. You assume everyone operates from a place of greed being the overriding motivator. Just because that is how you operate in no way makes it correct and certainly not universal.

I do not believe any of those had greed as a primary motivator. You should thank all of the soldiers that have served and sacrificed, the teachers that helped you along the way, the fire and police protection provided that allowed to be more at peace, and your polio free life. The most despicable form of greed is the form you, Mick and many others here advocate for almost daily. That is wanting the government to take what others have earned and turn it over to you in the form of free stuff.
