Venezuela's Triumphant Socialist Paradise

Yep...this is the hypocritical stance that every American should be able to see, but doesn’t...

And its a shame that politicians like Guaido sell their own country for globalist money....people don’t understand this simple fact...
Uh. You know the guys before Guaido sold off parts of Venezuela too? Madauro to the Chinese and Russians, and US.

And it was the reclaiming under Chavez that put them in this spot now.

Reclaiming sovereignty of their oil and other resources?

Sounds like what any logical leader would do...

Is uranium something that affects the financial situation in America?
uh yeah. a relatively rare, radioactive, material useful in any number of important industries by American companies would definitely impact our financial situation. just because our economy doesn't revolve around uranium doesn't mean a natural resource we share with our Canuck neighbors isn't important to us.

so again, you ready to repatriate from Russia? Viva la Capitalist Pigs!

I happened across an article today (when I was checking on the price of palladium which has an impact in my catalyst business) about how Venezuela has been selling off their stockpile of gold. Maduro's regime has been so desperate for cash that they've sold off around half of the country's gold reserves over the past 4-5 years. Just a week ago about $350 million worth of gold was illegally removed from their central bank and presumably sold in secret for hard currency, most likely to some country or countries in the Middle East (Saudi Arabia and UAE were mentioned as having purchased some of Venezuela's former reserves since 2014).

How does this happen to a country that has the largest oil reserves in the world?

We probably support and arm more dictators than we do democratically elected heads of state.

How interchangeable are Pd and Pt in catalytic converters? Since Pd seems to be in a bull market right now and Pt is down... just curious if one could be substituted for another if price fluctuates too much in one vs the other.

Good question and one I've been studying closely for my own business. I'm not involved in catalytic converters for transportation, but for stationary industrial uses, where the objectives and constraints are not the same. Latest generation converters for autos are so-called 3-way catalysts because they have to simultaneously convert CO, NOx and hydrocarbons which requires a combination of metals - usually platinum, palladium and rhodium in a certain ratio, and I doubt they can be made to work properly without palladium. In my business palladium has traditionally been used for O2 removal from various types of gases (reacting with H2 or CO or hydrocarbon) but I am looking to switch over in some cases to platinum (which I "discovered" 2-3 years ago actually works better in some ways) and have one customer already using platinum. In the "olden days" (think 20-30 years ago) platinum was always a lot more expensive than palladium, by more than a factor of two. But about a year ago palladium surpassed Pt which is currently running around $850 a troy oz and has been pretty flat the last few months while Pd just surged past $1500 for the first time last week and looks like it will go higher.

You champion Maduro being democratically elected but then bash Guaido, who was also democratically elected, and did so despite heavy Maduro interference. Quick question: Who do you think the majority of the people in Venezuela would prefer as their leader? And if Maduro isn’t a bastard why did he rip power away when the opposition took control?

I also like how they ignore that Maduro sold off control of Venezuelan oil

I didn’t say it wasn’t important or useful...

And, highly doubt that our 365 million dollars worth of exported uranium annually is comparable to Venezuela’s 25 billion in oil exports..

And likewise, you hypocritically champion Guaido and demonize Maduro...

It’s pretty obvious that if the people wanted Madoro out, then the military would’ve supported Guaido...

Lol. The military leadership is as corrupt as Maduro.

Why wouldn't anyone demonize Maduro?? You live under a rock?

we use it here in the US too. I would think we probably use more than we export.

Because I have a choice of seeing things for what they are...or blindly following the program and disinformation of regime change in another resource rich country...yet again...

Yes totally normal for a country to make a General, with no experience in such matters, it’s oil minister. Nothing remotely strange about that.

Similar to Jared Kushner?! A real estate developer and news paper publisher....now senior advisor to President Trump....Or like Trump himself?

What’s your point?

They elected their oil minister? Odd. Kushner isn’t in charge of the only damn resource the country has. Strike that. Did have. They essentially gave it to China. Which is also why they are starving. Despite the bs you try to peddle here. You claim to be looking at this with eyes wide open. You can scream that into the wind all you want but it doesn’t make it true.

1.) Venezuela is in the financial ruin they are in bc of their cash-oil deal they signed.
2.) Our sanctions aren’t helping them but it’s not nearly as damaging as that deal.
3.) Maduro has stripped power away from congress bc he knows they were going to call for special elections
4.) Maduro is jailing and murdering his opposition. Now I know you are cool with this bc it’s the same play book Putin uses but it’s not normal behavior.
5.) Yes we are hypocritical about supporting some dictators and not others. Show me a country of power that isn’t.
6.) We have no business putting troops there
7.) RT news is more biased then anything in the states....this one I am just throwing in for fun but it’s true
