Very disappointed in Butch Jones

C'mon people, butch put a vast majority of the team in "I suck" t-shirts. I am not disagreeing or agreeing with it. However reading the reactions from this thread illustrates that people take away from coach speak what they have already preconceived.

No doubt there are concerns. If there aren't, then he's not the right coach. But when you constantly tell someone they're ugly, after long they will believe they are ugly. Now, they may be ugly but you at least bring the best qualities out of them because you can't change what you inherit. Morons like me bought into the the whole talent argument as an excuse for the previous regime. But after awhile you have to realize the person calling you ugly is just ignoring his own shortcomings.

BOOM...I'm witcha bro.

Can't believe he didn't tell us how bad the team was and how this is year zero.

Kudos to him for not making excuses yet. Hopefully he won't have to, but should we have a poor season, then we'll see if excuses are forthcoming. Right now, he has no reason for excuses. I'll wait until something happens before I truly praise him for not making excuses.

Two thoughts about his presser:

1) Seems like he wants to see if he has a Tavon Austin type playmaker in Devrin Young. Putting him in the same position to do so. Between him, Pig, and Jenkins, we should have a good group of slot WR's.

DY is too dynamic to be buried on the depth chart at RB.

2) Hiring RB Coach, Gillespie...I suspected one of the lures of hiring him was that he came from 2 prolific offenses that are similar in style to his own. Should be able to help build their current playbook to incorporate a lot of OK ST and WVU's concepts. Pretty excited to see how that develops.

:)We can dig VINCE TOM LANDRY the bear up and all 3 combine there coaching skills together and you will get a 6 and 6 team out of this years team, and some how you win 7 games you should be coach of the year, we are young and thin every where but the OL.

You can't be serious.

DY is solid but he's a step too slow. I love his heart and drive but he just doesn't have that extra gear to produce accelerated, breakaway speed. If he had it he would have housed at least one by now.

That's why he was a KR before CP took over...cause he's slow, eh?
