Maybe I just have thick skin. Good thing these kids didn't join the military.

Or maybe you're an idiot. Gonna go with that.

To compare enlisting in the military to playing college basketball is beyond ignorant.

This guy deserves to have his ass kicked, the name calling is one thing (he still took it too far) but putting your hands on those kids they way he did, hurling basketballs at their heads from five feet out. That is beyond crossing the line.

I for one hope he never is allowed to coach another game at any level. Have a suspicion that will come true.

So if your husband beats the **** out of you, the response should be "if you don't like it, you shouldn't have married him?"

Did she know he was a woman beater? Probably not.. those kids knew exactly the kind of coach he is..your point is like titts on a bull frog homie

Yep. Didn't a sports writer mention this yesterday?

Yes. I believe he said a head coach called him and told him that was likely happening. I imagine this happens in more places than Rutgers.

Personally, I don't have a problem with him yelling and cussing the players. I do, however, think he is overboard in throwing balls at them and calling them ***s and things of that nature.

Pretty sure that both myself and my NCOs would have been crucified had we continually chucked **** at our Soldiers and threw them around.

Ever heard of a Command Climate Survey? Ever heard of the IG?

I see it differently. A pussy would let someone talk to them that way and hurl basketballs at their head.

He would have got one throw off at my head. Singular.

Right, all of those players are just pussies.

Mangino was fired for simply telling his defense that they sucked...and, well, they sucked. Rice's behavior is on a different level.

Maybe some of them don't see it as a big deal but I guarantee you there are some who hate the guy for the way he acts. Yet they just take it.

That's a pussy.

Was there not more to it than that? His teams being awful also made it easy to fire his fat ass.

Wonder how his actions would compare with the most successful coach in college basketball? Especially her early days...

No it's not. They are in the D1 basketball fraternity, and many players feel that if they rock the boat, their ride is over, whether it be at that school or blackballed elsewhere.

It's apparent to me that we have some big talkers on here that continue to not know wtf they are talking about in college sports.

Which D1 school did you play for?

@StevenPearl22: I would have loved to have seen Mike Rice pull that off at some Tennessee practices a few years ago, would have ended badly
