The point I was making that you replied to is that South Carolina was atrocious when we played them, and we all know how that turned out.

USCe wasn't a good team before the last two games of the year. Nothing near as bad as UVA but they weren't good. However they WERE significantly more talented than UVA is.

FCS? No. Except Richmond did in fact keep it close with them and was not outclassed badly talent wise. They beat a 3-9 ODU team by two points. UVA was 3-7 against a very weak schedule.


This isn't hate or overconfidence or none of that. UVA is just in a really, really bad place right now. According to 247's composite, they were the 63rd most talented team in the country last year and 65th this year. The portal wasn't kind to them either.

Anything can happen in football. The unlikely happens. But every reasonable expectation should be that UT covers the spread pretty easily plus some.

BTW, Vandy is by far the least talented team in the SEC... and is 57th nationally. Eight spots higher than UVA. The next worst SEC team is Arkansas at 32.

If we don’t cover the spread in this game then we have some issues. There is a reason why Vegas is in business.

First games usually don’t predict the season. I think at the end of the season last year we beat Pitt by 3 scores

The Georgia State comment wasn't in response to you. I have just seen that idiotic loss under a moronic coach mentioned numerous times in this thread and others. Your post was just collateral damage for that one.

I understand that UVA is not an FCS team, but they are far worse than teams that we obliterated last year. They might even hang with us for a quarter. We will boat race.

Elliott is a bad coach and they're a less talented team than their bad team last year.

What's going to change? Heupel is demonstrating that his teams don't play down like we've had with some of our prior coaches.
