USCe wasn't a good team before the last two games of the year. Nothing near as bad as UVA but they weren't good. However they WERE significantly more talented than UVA is.I didn't say anything about Georgia State. And no, I don't think we're going up against a good team at all.
What I do think is that we're not going up against an FCS team, but I think that's what everyone expects.
The point I was making that you replied to is that South Carolina was atrocious when we played them, and we all know how that turned out.
FCS? No. Except Richmond did in fact keep it close with them and was not outclassed badly talent wise. They beat a 3-9 ODU team by two points. UVA was 3-7 against a very weak schedule.
This isn't hate or overconfidence or none of that. UVA is just in a really, really bad place right now. According to 247's composite, they were the 63rd most talented team in the country last year and 65th this year. The portal wasn't kind to them either.
Anything can happen in football. The unlikely happens. But every reasonable expectation should be that UT covers the spread pretty easily plus some.
