Through the news media, we were told the Branch Davidians were stockpiling weapons and explosives. Was there ever a confirmation of an arsenal?
Convicted? Do you not know how the system works at all? They were trying to arrest some that had committed crimes that was hold up in the compound. Really, hog? Really?
Were the crimes related to weapon or explosive usage? I don't think I ever understood what crimes were committed or why the cult was considered a threat.Yeah they had a pretty substantial stockpile. But only 1 survivor, he wasn't even there when the raid happened was convicted of charges for crimes before the siege.
I remember my mom and dad saying the same things. Koresh could have been easily apprehended running errands in town because it was his habit. They had two arrest warrants, one for Koresh and another for a member (can't remember his name). Koresh was in town both the day before the siege and the day of, they could have taken him without indecent. The other guy wasn't even there.
They had warrants for crimes and you have a problem. If they were an American citizens and the cult was ISIS, would you feel the same? They had two arrest warrants, one for Koresh and another for a member (can't remember his name). They had a member who was a licensed FFA dealer and a neighbor reported one time he "heard what sounded like a .50 caliber weapon".They were suspected of buying automatic weapons and explosives.

They bought and sold tons of firearms legally at local gun shows, but the ATF had a warrant to look for lower receivers of AR's which weren't illegal to possess but were illegal to sell without the guns...DHS did a home visit weeks before and found no evidence of child abuse but made mention that it looked like "there were several gun targets that had been shot at around the compound".
The local law enforcement were familiar with the Davidians and Koresh and never had an issue with them...once the ATF wanted to arrest Koresh, they came in with a SWAT team and shot and killed the dogs on the compound and shot the front door, which started the whole thing....then Reno couldn't back down and the government made up other charges like drug trafficking so they could use tanks and helicopters per Texas law....
They really screwed it up....They refused to follow the Waco sheriff who suggested to just wait till Koresh was shopping around town and pick him up alone
You can protest if you want. You can protest the protesters. You can sit at home and type on the keyboard. You can be for 2a and not have to play army dress up and go parading around town with a .50 cal, if that's what your asking. Still searching for some profound wisdom from you.
