That's a weird way to look at it imo. While I agree the Republican apple has died on the Conservative tree, it was kinda the point.Imho, I think it’s possible that it ceases to be a national party and will become a regional party. Florida and eventually Texas will turn blue and it will be partially because the republicans helped the democrats dig their own grave. After 40 years of “conservatism”, Republicans have almost nothing to show for it.
Our political system isnt set up to actually correct itself. It's one slide or another. The conservatives should have been about slowing those slides just via their nature. And considering we arent the most liberal progressive nation in the world attests to that.
I am one of the biggest critiques on here about parties, but the only thing worse than two parties that pretend is one that doesnt.
