Vitello suspended.

Here’s what I do not understand. You have schools like LSU, Kansas, UNC, and others who flip the proverbial bird to the NCAA sand nothing really happen. Tennessee tries to be open about cutting their own throats and keeps getting kicked around by the NCAA. Maybe it’s time to stop playing the nice guy and grow a backbone for a change.
I think this was a play by Vitello to speed up Ahuna’s case while also serving a suspension for his own transgressions. Maybe if the NCAA wasn’t already accusing the football program of lack of institutional control, this could’ve been avoided, but it would be a bad look to give them the middle finger while your athletic department is fighting a battle with them on another front.

? Do you think he gets more games? I mean as in we just suspend him for these warm up games until SEC starts

Pennington is an exceedingly negative person. Not sure I’ve ever heard him utter a positive word about Tennessee athletics. He’s the definition of a glass half empty individual.

Pennington likes to stir the pot and I enjoy seeing Josh Ward and Mark Pancrats on that show because they always have solid information on Tennessee basketball and other Tennessee sports.

I‘m not saying Tennessee needs to flip birds, whether it be real or proverbial and I don’t doubt the veracity of what you’re saying, I was just saying we play too nicely sometime.

Pennington spends a lot of time digging up negative stuff against all Tennessee sports. I do watch the show, but only because of the guests he has on his show. I do appreciate that they cover all sports and are on year -round.

I think VT jumped the gun on the trip by about 8-10 hours. He anticipated the decision to be made earlier and wanted to get him in Knoxville ASAP rather than having to wait another day. He gambled and lost.

Which, to me, is troublesome. He KNOWINGLY broke the rule. And i think the NCAA will take a much dimmer view of this situation because Vitello did knowingly do it. Don’t gamble. Follow the rules. And then Arky and Vandy cannot rat you out.

Lol what a joke. You would be a good guest on Sports Source. This is such a trivial “violation”, especially given the absolute lack of transparency and lack of clearly defined “rules” in this NIL age.

The NCAA did not charge UT with lack of institutional control, just to clarify. But, I guess the point still remains.

You really have no clue what happened. How about holding your rush to judgment until more information comes along. Be better or continue with your troll-like comments.

Not true. The Baseball Ops employee received permission from UT Compliance to book the flight since the transcript was ordered even though it hadn’t been received. Exception was granted due to limited # of flights from Hilo, Hawaii to Knoxville.

So what exactly even is the issue?

Them why is Ahuna not playing and why is Vitello suspended?

Trivial enough to warrant at least a 3 game suspension and Ahuna out for every single game so far this season? That trivial?
