Vitello suspended.

I have a feeling the moment a major league club comes calling he’ll listen. I’m trying to not overreact here, but just once I want our admin to tell the NCAA to screw off. Tony has done so much to restore this program. He deserves better than to be done dirty like this because of things everyone on this board knows is happening in nearly every other program across the country. Ridiculous.
At least we aren’t overreacting

But Brandon Miller is still playing basketball for Alabama? Eff the NCAA.
The list goes on and on of programs skating for serious stuff but we'll get a near death penalty for what amounts to jay walking.

Wishful thinking on your part!

This whole situation is what happens when you run your mouth all the time and let your players act like cocky brats with bad sportsmanship! Makes him an easy target! I like TV, but he needs to grow up some and dial it back and establish some discipline in himself and team!
….some Italians understand nuance and some don’t!
Cocky brats? LOL They are kids having a blast with their teammates. As a fan, I love it!

Our biggest rival has someone who should be charged with accessory to murder playing, and goes oh well.
The AA only has teeth if you let them.
You can blame that on the investigation, they came out and said he isn’t in trouble or anything, how I don’t have a clue but at that point he’s cleared.. I thinks it’s BS but I blame that on local law enforcement

Some of y’all in this thread need to take a breathe and calm down. Is it some bureaucratic bs…probably. Is it going to result in TV leaving because of it. Absolutely not. If he leaves for the MLB he was already going to do so (I have no idea why this is an assumption in the 1st place). BVS is alive and well.

He committed a freaking secondary violation which would have been a slap on wrist - no suspension - no nothing. But Pearl lied then admitted the lie which is why he got hammered by the AA. That’s old news. Moral of the story is don’t lie - especially about a minor violation.

Hey look! I found a sane post in this thread!

I'm the last mope to defend the NCAA, but the Miller incident is a university/legal one. NCAA doesn't have any jurisdiction in this case. Legal system and the university are the main entities. But your point remains valid...the NCAA sucks.

That’s what I was saying, that’s a response due to someone bringing that situation up and saying tv would resign.. I was basically saying he had to go sue to his suspension

Thats false, if the NCAA truly had power they could tell Bama to sit Miller until the case is resolved. However Bama knows the AA is a toothless tiger and treats them as such. Where as TN is terrified of them and gives them the power they crave.

Wow, this post…. You’re entitled to your wrong opinion about the attitude of the team, but where do you get off in throwing in the ethnic attack? Did you mean blue font? If not, classless attempt at being funny or whatever you were trying to be…

I agree with all of this, and I don't see this "tampering" issue involving Ahuna becoming a serious matter. That kind of thing is happening everywhere ... but having said that, Battered Vol Syndrome doesn't arise purely from delusions.

Remember during the regionals last year when Troy Eklund of ESPN said on-air that Evan Russell had been suspended for PED's and the NCAA was forcing the rest of our team to be tested before we could take the field again?

We are not imagining things. At times, it seems like somebody really has it in for us.

Miller’s is a legal matter. The NCAA has zero jurisdiction over that.

Heaven forbid that a program that's been wandering in the wilderness for an eternity sees a little success and the kids and fans have some fun and enjoy it a little. Of course, if they let Vitello slip away, we might not be discussing such things anymore.
