Big day in Knoxville for Tennessee fans as the football team adds a pair of huge commitments. First off today Tom Smith a stout running back from Apopka, Florida decided Tennessee was the place for him. As discussed earlier he’s a well built compact runner who can really get between the tackles. He could provide [...]

I for one like the direction our program is going. Our coaches seem to be offering kids that can learn and be molded into solid player. I live in Chattanooga bordered by bama and Georgia fans I was so tired last year of defending our coach.CDD makes me proud to be a VOL no more of the crap we had to deal with last year.

Tennessee has reverted back to the Fulmer years.

Not impressed at all with this staff's recruiting efforts so far (sans Da'Rick Rogers -- who only committed because we offered Nance). They took a bunch of roster-fillers on NSD and have started off doing the same so far in this class.

We will not be more than an 8-4 team recruiting players like this in the SEC. If we cover them up with more talented players and they are providing depth, fine. *But I have not seen this staff get anyone I've felt was All-SEC caliber (again, sans Rogers with the * being that it was a combo deal).

Now.... I PREDICT posts to follow filled with Orange Koolaid drinkers.

Great read. I like the direction we are headed in and I hope that Dooley can win enough to gain the respect of everyone on this forum. If he ends up leaving in 4 years I believe I will still have alot of respect for the man. Either way I am a CDD Fan!

My kids are good at Golf because I have a golf shop and they participate in many kids clinics. Alot of guys come in joking that my kids are going to be on the Tour someday (thats a tall order for a 9 yo and a 4 yo:)). My response since I've been hearing this is "I'll always care more about teaching morals over teaching them how to hit a ball with a stick". I don't care if my kids work at the Goodwill or if they are the Head Pro at a Country Club, I want to know that my kids know how to care about other people.

I know that this is just my 2 cents but it seems that CDD follows a similar road.

Hunter was already leaning towards UT before Dooley got here.

Neal is wait and see. He should be solid but again... this is the SEC.

So they are or aren't "roster fillers" that committed to UT after Dooley was hired?

Clearly Lance Thompson and CDC learned nothing from Saban on how to eval and recruit talent. They are idiots...I am joking of course.

I trust these guys...patience

@ Least ill keep you busy. I simply predicted (as did Mrbam after me and his post has yet to be deleted....hmmm) that someone would complain about the guys stars. How is that delete worthy? You started a discussion about it being a good day. I brought up a known issue amongst the said fanbase. WTF?

Good grief, what is with some of you people? Why can't you just take a wait-and-see approach and give the staff the benefit of the doubt for a couple of years before you claim them as failures? This place is horrible with negativity, just like Volquest. It just blows my mind that our "fans" are so miserable and can predict the future on a couple of 3 star commits we have received early in the process. Do you not realize that EVERY team has 3 star commitments right now and even at double digits come NSD, while still landing Top 10 classes? I don't understand why some of you continue to call yourselves "fans".

I think it is funny how this goes round and round. When CDD and staff started it was they dont know talent they are offering kids with no better offers than Memphis. Then all the sudden Saban starts offering players that he hasnt evaluated yet just because our staff did and offered them. then it was we cant close. Now we get on players early and get a commit and it is back to they dont know players and we are taking WAC caliber players again. You guys make me laugh.

Go Vols

In case y'all didn't know Dooley is the father that left Bam many years ago and never came back... That MUST be why he is hating on this staff so badly.

Dooley must have a lot of abandoned/illegitimate children running around then.

What I want to know is who is the a$$ that directed 'em all to this board? It can't be coincidence...

I like how when someone doesn't agree with you on this board that they are automatically a Koolaid drinker.....
