how do I upload attachment ? does it have to be approved or something?

When you have your link saved, in either a new post or reply a dialog box will open up. Enter your text, look up at the top at the blue icon below a white smiley face, click on that, erase the text already in the box, will say http ... Replace it by pasting your link.. Then submit. When doing just an image, use the yellow icon three places over from the link icon

Just did my bit, and put some money in. This is a great loss to not only our community, but to so much more. He was a class act, and always will be a class act. My thoughts go out to all of his family and friends at such a tough time.

Great job rallying together VN to help the family out, this is why I am Vol, this is why being a Vol is special. Proud to be a Vol fan more than ever.

Even though I didn't know him, I woke up with RR on my mind, checked this thread and wow, way to step up Vol fans. You all are awesome. Hopefully this will bring a little joy to what is a terribly sad Christmas for this family.

Just want to give everyone an update on his oldest son, Trey. Trey is in class with my son and he played a basketball game against my son this morning. Trey's team and my team gathered at center court, put hands on Trey and prayed for him and his family. It was very touching.

I thought you would want to know that he had a good time playing this morning and I saw him smile several times. He also played really well and scored 6 points (I think). His team lost a close game, but it was by far their best game of the year.

My son's team gathered money for the family and the entire basketball league is collecting money as well. It's great to see how the community and volnation is coming together to help in their time of need. As I've said before, Knoxville is an awesome place with awesome people.

Everyone should take a moment during the holidays to think about his family and be extra thankful for being blessed enough to be with theirs.
For what it's worth, Volnation will always be here for RR's family. If you guys ever need anything, do not hesitate to post here. I am confident that the good people here will be there for you.

Excellent post Doyle. If a tragedy like this doesn't make you take pause and appreciate what you have well I don't know what to say. Take a moment this Christmas and tell those that are close to you what they mean to you and give them a big hug. This should remind everyone that your life can be turned upside down in the blink of an eye. Don't take anything or anyone for granted.

This is a picture of Rubin's middle child Drake. He's pictured on a bike that Sparty donated.

I'm in - the fund total is now $9300.

Everyone get in with something!

For what it's worth, don't know the family but I'm thinking of them all while taking stock of my own.

Prayers...
