At least he went there..

You do realize that the La. Governor asked Obama specifically NOT to come right away, right? The Gov wants all resources to be dedicated to ongoing rescue and relief. Presidential visits are terribly disruptive to small communities, I can only imagine how a visit would impact a disaster area struggling to keep up. Was that not reported on shoebat.com?

Trump on the other hand, never consulted with state officials on his visit - the photo op was just that, an opportunity to get some cheap publicity.

Perspective and facts can be pesky...

Sorry to derail your meme driven narrative.

He's a partisan hack and a Obama worshipper, I'm sure the folks who received those goods are glad he came, so piss off

He loved and worshiped him so much he told him to stay away, "now's not the time."

Speaking of worship. I'm sure the memories of standing next to the one person who could manage to lose to Clinton will forever hold a place in their hearts.

Edwards, a Democrat, said that those trips, plus near daily communication with the White House, has shown that the flooding is a priority for the federal government. He said a visit from Obama, which would require heightened security and road closures, would be a drain on resources as the state still works to respond to the flood.

"Quite frankly, that's not something I want to go through right now," Edwards said. "I would just as soon he wait a week or two."

Obozo is due to arrive Tuesday. I guess the flood waters will be receded by then and clean up is done and everything back to normal? Okaaaay, got it.

If these BLM heathens care about blacks, why aren't they down there helping? There's nothing to loot, everything is submerged underwater, unless they loot scuba gear.

Interesting since this was the same rationale used by the Bush Admin after Katrina.

However, he was vilified for it.

Hmmmm, I think he was vilified for flying over it. Not visiting it. Also he was vilified over the absolutely s**t response by FEMA.

But whatever.

Bush still flew over it and got a birds eye view. Obama hasn't done anything. He hasn't spoken with the governor. The White House officials have.

Now, Google me up why Hillary isn't there or been there....

Lol, you're arms are going to fall out of their sockets if you keep reaching.

No, not whatever.

Bush declined to visit the devastated area right away. White House aides said at the time that Bush didn't want to cause disruptions in rescue and recovery efforts by diverting security and communications to himself. But Bush allies privately conceded that he could have quickly visited somewhere along the Gulf Coast with minimal disruption, perhaps a staging site, to show solidarity with victims of the hurricane and the first responders.

Seems to me this was the same thing the Congressman said about Obama. However...

Networks Defend Obama Vacationing, Blasted Bush for Katrina Response

And here’s the kicker: President Obama himself had scathing criticism for President Bush’s response to Katrina, saying in a speech at Tulane University in 2008, to screaming applause,

“We can talk about what happened for a few days in 2005 and we should,” Obama said. “We can talk about levees that could not hold … about a president who only saw the people from the window of an airplane instead of down here [on the ground], trying to provide comfort and aid. We can talk about a trust that was broken.”

Sure.

The difference here is that the Governor specifically asked Obama not to come, which before this got redirected into Bush/Katrina, was the point.

The idiotic narrative being foisted is that Obama "doesn't care", it is as stupid a position as the pundits made that piled on Bush. My recollection was how terrible FEMA was in the wake of the disaster; thanks for the links - while not surprising it is funny how things come full circle.

But whatever.
