VN's very own political meme thread...

Wasn't he a candy maker or something of the sort, I seem to recall something about making New Orleans a chocolate city.👍🏿
Screwed the black community and got sent to prison. A box of Krispy Kremes says he would get reelected when he gets out, just like Marion Berry.

Thank you, child.

Now go ahead and continue your trolling.

Sorry that facts are inconvenient to the "they suck, we're better" partisan narrative.

In the end bad behavior shouldn't excuse bad behavior.

Sorry to rain on the obama's fault circle jerk meme party. I'll show myself out.

lol

Take your ball and go home I suppose. Probably a smart thing to do since the facts have proven you wrong repeatedly.

Bush took a lot of criticism for the response to Katrina. Some justified, some not so much. Obama certainly deserves the same criticism, no?

I try to keep the points lineaR so that you can keep up, somehow it's still too complex.

Those 2 words are interchangeable. Like fish and fishes both being the plural of fish. Lumber can be ordered as linear, lineal, or bed feet. All 3 mean the length of the board, as opposed to width or thickness.

Not really correct Marcus. The correct term is linear feet ( linear meaning straight line.) Lineal is mistakenly used, but is related to ancestry, not measurement. Linear feet means the length of the lumber, regardless of width or thickness.

Board feet is a correct term. Bed feet is not. Board feet is obtained by multiplying (thickness of the board in inches) x ( width of the board in inches ) x (length of the board in feet) and then dividing by 12. Therefore a 2 x 4 board , 12 feet long is 8 board feet. Ex: 2 x 4 x 12 = 96. Divide by 12, equals 8 board feet.

Yes, my father and grandfather owned a lumber company.

Thanks. You are.correct, and its a complicated issue. My blueprints often say lineal, i use the word linear, and i assumed they were interchangeable. I just googled it and it seems that civil engineers are the only ones that use lineal to describe straight lines and distance. For lumber yards, it seems to be linear. This seems to be a point of contention similar to huckleberry/hucklebearer. Strange.
