Get a grip. Phillip from Wartburg is hardly alone, and I'll bet he would put any person on this board to shame for loyalty.

If JP can't handle a comment like that, he DOES need to go back to Gumpland. His response was pure circa 2003 Fulmerspeak.

People don’t have to act like idiots, but the alternative to a rabid fan base that spends a lot of money is an apathetic one that does not. Which would the AD prefer?

I guess your opinion of Philip would change had he posed the question this way:

"We seem to continue to struggle in games where we shouldn't. Our QB situation hasn't improved in 3 years, and our player development seems to be severely lacking. By chance, have you had any other job offers from, say perhaps, your previous employer?"

Wish people would truly stop defending Pruitt. You are part of problem also. It would be one thing if we saw player development and be at the record we are at but that isn’t happening either PLEASE do us all a favor if your defending Pruitt find another team that your satisfied with Mediocrity because TRUE VOLS fans are ready to be climbing back to top of SEC

Hmmm... I've liked a post or two on the subject before thinking, but SNTJ's comments are true... however, the call blurted out the frustration felt by a lot of fans. Not classy, lacking respect and decorum, but a reflection of where many UT fans are right now. And who knows, maybe Phillip was running cover for Mrs. Pruitt.

I'd say critiquing the dialect of a caller, given our coach's inability to conjugate verbs, or complete a sentence without 5 seconds of uuuuhhhhs, and an 'aight' to close is pretty funny.

LMAO. Telly ya what, you pay be 4.2 milly a year to coach a game I love, and I will endure a critical call or two on a call in show.

Good grief, Pruitt is a football coach, not a delicate flower. If he can't handle a call like that, he does need to go back to bammer. That said, as I stated above, he has learned well at the feet of the Phlegmatic One. His response was pure 2003 Fulmerspeak, albeit without the 'workin' like heck' phrase.

He asked a sarcastic, smart-$%% question. That's aggressive, but it isn't "hillbilly". If his sentence structure bothers you, then the average JP statement must dun, uuuhhhh, drive you, uuuhhhhh, gud and nuts, aight?

Thank goodness, the beleaguered Millionaire Vol Fan demographic has a advocate. Otherwise, life is tough for those who can make a 3-4 milly donation to the AD for better skyboxes without skipping a beat.

Anybody who would take this stuff that serious ....to call radio station thinking they were being cute and effective to try and humiliate a man....that’s the epitome of taking this stuff way too serious! And Phillip probably didn’t know enough to even be embarrassed!!!

Most likely fans of other schools trolling Vol Nation. Too many VOLS take the bait. This is a COVID year. Young rebuilding teams with QBs that can’t keep making the same mistakes year after year are going to have the toughest time. Shooting ourselves in the foot as fans by whining all the time doesn’t help us. If Pruitt were undefeated y’all would be kidding his rings. Give him two more years and plan a move and stop with the knee jerk circus coach hunts.
