I think it was Ty Law.  We had scored on the previous drive with a very similar play - I've heard the ND player (whoever it was) talk about how he baited Kelly into throwing that since it worked before -  :shakehead:

The 2005 season. No brainer there.

Hmm, the Alabama games of the early 90's.

The Auburn game where Greg Burke missed a FG to win.

Punting on third down against Alabama. A Johnny Ball Classic.

Trick plays where the QB was acting like he was tying his shoes.

Was it in the 1992 season when we played Penn St in the Citrus Bowl?

That was tough to watch!

It was the '92 Fiesta Bowl played after the '91 season . . . That was one of the worst meltdowns ever. Supposedly that was when the team turned on Majors after he said something inappriate at halftime.

losing to a vastly inferior LSU team in the 01 SEC title game, after havinga 10 point halftime lead. Costing us a chance to play for the national title, then subsequently Florida getting the Orange Bowl instead of us. :ripped:

The 2001 team was one of my favorites. So much talent on defense and for that matter on offense also.

We had the best defensive line in "ALL" of football that year!

Wasn't it a second string QB that came in and beat us? Rohan?

Mauk came off the bench and killed us. We prepped so hard for Davey and pressuered him relentlessly. The problem when we knocked him it changed the flow of the game for LSU and they attacked us.

...and we knocked out their tailback too. It was unbelievable the way Mauk came in and played.

Especially considering the defense he was up against and that he only knew one play: QB draw.

But the single play that i'll never forget was Andy Kelly's pass against ND in Neyland....the INT in the 4th qtr....What a great game for it to end like that...and Andy really had a GREAT game except for that one play....i can still see the end zone shot where the ball is falling right toward the receiver's hands and BAM out of nowhere another set of hands in a white jersey...game over.

Seeing as how Andy Kelly is my favorite all time vol, that play will always stand out for me as one i would like to forget. I was 20 yrs. old i think and i remember storming out of the house and driving around for a couple of hours shedding a few tears. Now that is bad aint it.
