The game is more fun if the jersey's are a different color?

Literally no, but it is exciting and the players were hyped about it last yr. And so did most fans who aint hung up on changing. Do you not feel better with a new haircut, shoes, or outfit? A new color doesn't have to be broken tradition

Honestly no. I get a haircut because my hair was too long, shoes because my other ones had holes in them or outfit because they either don't fit or have holes in them also. I don't buy things to make myself feel better. Well unless it's medicine.

Riiiiiiiiiight, but it makes you feel better

Ole Miss Saturday was the first game I have able to go to since the mid 90's and I was a little disturbed at the amount of Black I saw fans wearing.

I take it you're superficial?

Tennessee has no alternate uniforms in current use. The all-orange was considered an alternate prior to 2009, but was used several times in the Lane Kiffin era. Dooley has yet to use the all-oranges. The white jersey/orange pants uniform wasn't used since the early 90's. CLK brought back the orange pants on the road in '09 as well.

However, we've had a couple of one game special unis.

In, '09, obviously, the black unis.

In the 2004 opener vs. UNLV, Tennessee wore an early 70's throwback uniform.

In 2002, Tennessee's unis changed a little. Adidas introduced a very wide stripe down the pants, and the away jerseys.

Other than, not too much to speak of. I'd love to see the 70's throwbacks be brought out for one game though.

My linebacker coach always said "If you look good, you play good" yet we only went to playoffs once and lost the 1st round

I like the 70's throwback as well for our road uni's. Arky kinda has the same look with theirs this year. I thought the SEC wouldn't let UT wear the throwbacks b/c of the orange on the shoulder pads...

Thats what I been trying to say. Look good, feel good play good. Is it gonna make us run faster, jump higher, or throw and catch better? No, but it does have a certain positive affect

I didn't mind the black jerseys but I have to disagree with changing the jersey's this year. It brings up way too many bad memories, that's why when I was at the UT bookstore someone was shopping with their dad and they pointed to the black jersey's on sale to see if he wanted them and he said "No, they're tainted."

Even the practice jerseys (with the adidas stripes under the arm to the waist) look better than the game ones.
