Of course, people fail to remember that we won a National Championship in adidas.

The whole debate is pretty simple. When Nike (or UA or anyone) wants to make an offer that is financially competitive with the offer adidas makes, then UT will listen. To this point, no other company has even approached adidas' offer for Tennessee Athletics.

People often argue that if we changed, the difference in merchandise sold would make up for the difference in money offered. But what most people don't realize is that the school receives less than $1 for each licensed product sold in the realm of apparel. Based on Nike's last contract offer two years ago, we would have to sell roughly 2 million more pieces of Nike gear EACH YEAR than we presently sell with adidas. That's not reasonable. No school sells 2 million more pieces of apparel than we presently do. We would have to be the top-selling school by a wide margin to make the money back. And we'd have to do it every year to make up the difference.

My point n the gear has nothing to do with Championships or making money. I like Nikes gear better,its better made and just looks better. Thats all im saying. If you had let Nike design those black Jerseys Adidas did I would be willing to bet theirs would have looked a million times better. And I liked the ones Adidas did but Nike has better designers and could have made them unreal looking.So many people whi didnt like the black jerseys jumped on Kiffin and saying he was messing with tradition too much. But that wasnt his idea. Eric Berry and other playrers approached hima nd Hammy about doing that for Halloween.

Sure its enough. I buy every Nike UT gear that I come across.Theres just not as much out there as I would like. Just like the stadium shirts theydo for teams. Would love to see one for Neyland that other schools have.

Whats there to recover from? Obviously I have affected your life in some way and feel for you. If anybody lets something that a person posts on a messageboard upset them then they have way more issues than just whats said on here. I would be willing to donate or start a fund to help out with anyone with that kind of problem. If its needing to hook up with a lady of his choosing or whatever. Anything I can do to help out fellow Vol fans.

How do you make a black jersey different?? That would indicate that you would want some drastic changes. Black barely happened, no way in hell anything drastic will.

Could have been done like a Combat Jersey. Arent their people complaining about how they look? If they didnt look different people wouldnt be complaining. Some guy on TOS did a UT combat jersey you can design and it was sharp with the way he did the Jersey, pants and helmet. So yeah the Combat jersey could have been much different. Got it?

Combat jerseys are hideous. I will admit, I liked TCU's. Only because their wacky Horned Frogs nickname fits perfectly with doing something crazy with a uniform/helmet.

UT is too traditional. The black jerseys were cool as a one time thing. I guarantee that if they trotted out in some ugly combat jerseys, you would have had a lot of people that were pissed.
