I cringe every time I see that silly Chinese swoosh. If I wanted golf shirts that fit like my younger brother gave them to me I would start by looking at Nike. Their shoes are mostly unwearable. Ninety per cent of their products are cut on the short side of the sizes. Cheaply made, expensively priced. Adidas went through a long period where they made stuff just as lousy, or worse...and I wouldn't touch it... but they have changed drastically in the last 10 years or so and their stuff is quality and designed very well for sports.

If UT went with Nike it would be fine with me, I just don't want any of that tacky stuff to actually wear. And the swoosh is very ugly.

Exactly what I thought. How was I being tough I was trying to make peace. You seem like such a cool Guy I just wanted to squash it.

I don't wanna meet you. I don't even like discussing this with you. Every time I try to leave and let it be, you say something else that is ridiculous after you have been proven wrong. I'm done. :hi:

How has this thread escaped the "uniform discussion" thread for so long? I already know to avoid that one.

The school gets a % of sales, better swag more sales = gues what, more money for the school.

What most people don't realize is that the school receives less than $1 for each licensed product sold in the realm of apparel.

Based on Nike's last contract offer two years ago, we would have to sell roughly 2 million more pieces of Nike gear EACH YEAR than we presently sell with adidas. That's not reasonable. No school sells 2 million more pieces of apparel than we presently do.

We would have to be the top-selling school by a wide margin to make the money back. And we'd have to do it every year to make up the difference.

I'm a fan of the black cleats.

I know some want orange and white. Some would like all orange

Thoughts?

I say black cleats are the way to go.

I've always felt that black cleats are faster, so I vote black.

All orange would be my second choice.

Orange and black would be my third.

Orange and white would be ok, and I would choose that 4th.

All white would be my 5th choice.

Then white and black would be my 6th pick.

Then barefoot would by my 7th choice.

:rock: Yes I agree. Black cleats with the old big numbers, solid white or orange pants w/ no stripes. I know this probably belongs in the uniform thread but it just made me reminisce about the old unis w/ black cleats.

Nike, Adidas or Under Armour?

That's the most important thing

So to satisfy all the fans, would it be possible to wear Adidas home unis and Nike away unis?
I think that would be a great idea and would bring together the fractured fanbase.

Actually, that's a great idea. Maybe we can wear Under Armour gloves and Reebok cleats.
