So to satisfy all the fans, would it be possible to wear Adidas home unis and Nike away unis?
I think that would be a great idea and would bring together the fractured fanbase.
Only if they coordinate the magnetic bracelets.

I've always felt that black cleats are faster, so I vote black.

All orange would be my second choice.

Orange and black would be my third.

Orange and white would be ok, and I would choose that 4th.

All white would be my 5th choice.

Then white and black would be my 6th pick.

Then barefoot would by my 7th choice.

Do you know jasonvol? Spends thousands per year on UT gear and goes exclusively Nike cause they badass. He probably has seventh choices.

I heard of him. If UT would just switch to Nike, he would make up the 2 million difference that Adidas pays us all by himself by buying the new swag nike clothes. Then he would be swagged out. And UT would return to glory!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1:loco::loco::loco::loco::loco::loco::loco::loco:

I'm still pushing for pair of these in orange and black:

I cringe every time I see that silly Chinese swoosh. If I wanted golf shirts that fit like my younger brother gave them to me I would start by looking at Nike. Their shoes are mostly unwearable. Ninety per cent of their products are cut on the short side of the sizes. Cheaply made, expensively priced. Adidas went through a long period where they made stuff just as lousy, or worse...and I wouldn't touch it... but they have changed drastically in the last 10 years or so and their stuff is quality and designed very well for sports.

If UT went with Nike it would be fine with me, I just don't want any of that tacky stuff to actually wear. And the swoosh is very ugly.

LOL. Remove the blinders. Adidas just RECENTLY got into performance apparel with their CLIMACOOL and TECHFIT technology. Nike and UA has been mass-producing this stuff for years.

I would really like to see the Vols go Nike. We could keep our traditional look, only adding the ever popular swoosh to our jerseys, and maybe get those cool school gloves that seem to be becoming popular to modernise our uniform just a little.

A good little mix if you ask me!

Check out these gloves that Adidas did for Nebraska. Pretty cool...

I know adidas came up with several designs of these for Tennessee with a Power T and orange accents, but last I heard, Dooley vetoed them. That could change, I hope we get them, I know adidas REALLY wants us to wear them.

well i hope dooley doesnt turn into a joepa. cause some change is good

I think his concern with the gloves was getting celebration penalties called for flashing the logo. If you'll remember, Ohio State was flagged for excessive celebration a couple of times last year for making the logo with the gloves.

Alabama's were tasteful. (First time those three words have ever been used in a sentence together) I can see not wanting to get penalties, but at some point, cool gloves or not, CDD has to put some faith in the whole accountability/VFL thing. Maybe when that maturation shows up more on the field, he'll be willing to bend a little on some of this stuff.

A trim color is not a primary color. When they change that to the Big Orange and Black.

The players actually wore tuxedo black jerseys with orange and white trim, until the 1920s. So it's not as if the black isn't part of our tradition, because it is. I thought the Halloween jerseys against South Carolina looked good. Most fans enjoyed that game.
