The home jersey today is almost exactly what we wore in 1951, though we would need smaller numbers and remove the "T" from the collar.

We would need single-stripe pants.

When the last time we regularly wore black was over 100 years ago, I would say it's not a tradition.

tradition:
1. The transmission of customs or beliefs from generation to generation, or the fact of being passed on in this way.
2. A long-established custom or belief that has been passed on in this way.

Notice the "passed on".

Sucks. I had a pair from the 2005ish time frame, that I bought after I saw Ainge walking around in them. They were all orange, except for the white rubber sole. ClimaCool; very lightweight and breathable. Wish I could find those shoes again.

I agree that they would sell a ton, but adidas does that so that the athletes and staff have something "special" that's not available to the public.

If last year is indication, it looks like we're back to the Majors era of uniforms; primarily orange jersey/white pants at home, white jersey/orange pants. Which I'm fine with, I'd just like one game a year in all orange and one road game in all white.

I saw a little of the TN Alabama game today from 96...the big numbers with the VOLS with the star on the shoulder pads were sweet........plus it was weird to see Phil wearing a UT hat with a huge Nike swoosh on it!

three things need to be fixed on our current uniforms.
1- Colors matching the helmets
2- Helmet logo changed from "VOLS" to the power T, It looks horrible.
3- Get that god awful, cheesy looking "VOLS" logo off of the back of the helmet.

If anyone can provide pics for this it'd help i couldn't find any, but you know what i mean.

Our uniforms are bland at best, PLEASE UPGRADE TO SOMETHING NICE....Why did the black jersey go over so well...because it was much better than what we have...OREGON really makes a difference with the unis...

For the last time, the jersey isn't the wrong color, the helmet decals are. If you want the colors to be correct, the helmet needs to match the jersey.
