What if it were all white with orange numbers/lettering outlined in black? Oh wait, that's what we already have for away games. Let's face it, we're gonna stick with pretty traditional orange and white and keep looking pretty awesome.

let's pretend everyone in this post agreed on what the Uniforms should look like .... Down to the T . Ok , so we all agree on design X ! Now what ?

If we did black unis once a year then this is closer to what I would like to see than what we did in 09. 09 was put together too fast and looked cheap.

Of course the problem with the real form fitting uniforms is they look good on the models but real football players don't have model physiques. Put this same uniform on one of the big uglies and we're looking at something out of a comic book.

Do you mean they make your stomach feel a bit off?

The Vols with duck wings on their shoulders and a horribly placed, downright ugly wordmark splattered in the middle of the chest sure do make me feel that way.

Actually I was commenting on it being a blantant copy of Oregon's latest uniform, just with the helmet logo changed and the outline color changed to orange.

I don't mind a black jersey once a year, but black helmets and black pants is going overboard. I really don't want to get into the silliness of different helmets.

Count me in the 'keep it traditional' camp, but with the option to tweak slightly for special occasions.

Personally, I prefer orange on white and white (w/black outlined numbers) on white as the norm. I don't mind an occasional orange britches when it's called for (slump busting or to pump up for a rival). But there's something classic about a team that is always recognizable.....us, Michigan, Penn St, Bama, Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, etc.

I've long thought orange on orange should be the "homecoming uniform". We usually play a weaker non-conference team and the game usually isn't televised, so wear it then. Orange on white for the rest of the home games (or if we're at LSU).

For the road games, split them with some wearing white on white and the other white on orange. Or something like wear white on orange for division road games, white on white for road games against West opponents.

That way we wear all combos every year.

Just read on espn that we are wearing white shoes and socks this year. I'm not sure about that though . First I had heard anything of it .

You haven't been around long have you? Yea that has been talked about ad nausea, but yes, we're wearing white socks and orange/white cleats. They're not that bad looking actually.

Once a year for the home game at Halloween? And not the quickly produced ones that debuted in 09, but the ones they sell that you see that Adidas actually took their time producing.
