I am ok with the Black jerseys coming out every 5+ years or so and only for certain occasions...but black helmets is the worse idea i have ever heard. Don't ever mess with our helmets. Its our colors, its our logo, its our brand ORANGE AND WHITE

The helmets are really White and Orange, but I get what you are saying.

I'd like black helmets in that new-fangled carbon material, with the matte finish. That and a power T. Be good to switch things up once a year or so, IMO.

This would be the only way I would support black uniforms - on very rare occasions.

I like the blacks. Unless it is a traditional program such as Penn State or Alabama.

Haven't read all the postings, but Adidas is well behind the competition! The colors doesn't match, their hats suck ( need fathead caps) but worst of all their is never any MAJOR changes! Mix it up some like NIKE does!

Since you haven't read the rest, let me summarize. Adidas doesn't make major changes because UT doesn't want/allow them to.

Second, look back a couple of pages at the pictures of Nike teams that I posted. Nike can't match colors well either.

What are "fathead" caps?

I wonder why the administration didn't want to do something like Alabama's Pro Combats a few years ago or heck, even like LSU's the last few years? Both had rather subtle changes, but still looked pretty sharp, IMO.

Go back and look at page 2 or maybe page 3, there is a set of rules, one of which is you have to read all the posts in the thread before posting your own reply.

The second one is you have to use their and there properly.

I think every home game against South Carolina should be Orange and Black. We have the perfect Halloween colors that weekend. I think that should be like a new tradition. I'd be even for a Black and Orange helmet that game. Something new would be fun every now and then. but no permanent changes, I love our jerseys. Everything about em, especially going with the White and Orange shoes. Looks so much better than the black.

Somewhere in my under grad work at UT I stumbled across the "knowledge" that navy blue was actually the official third color.

I'm serious.
