You may have a case of Nike > Adidas, but the moment you begin to say Under Armour > anything, you become a certified idiot. Under Armour is the biggest joke in in the history of athletic apparel. Every team that wears that crap is a joke and 2nd rate. The adidas uniforms aren't flashy, but they are solid. Under Armour SUCKS. END OF STORY.

Now I know why this thread is so long and never ending. No one reads previous posts, even ones on the same page as theirs!

Guys, the colors were right this year! You're just not used to it because it has been wrong so long. And cameras/lighting/angles combined can change the way it appears on television. It's very simple.

I thought the colors were bout perfect this year.Just wonder why addidas cant make the cloths in the stores match all the time.I get it when other companies have different colors but theirs should be right all the time.I do hope. We change the design a bit .Not really going black but just some different design.They should go and do a throwback once a year and a blackish once a year.I don't mind seeing the orange on orange once a year.

I like the idea of Black Out home games against SEC rivals when we are the underdog. Something to give that extra little bit of excitement to the players. Black Helmet with orange T outlined with white. Black jersey with orange names and number, outlined in white, and white piping (Like a photo negative of our away jerseys). Orange pants with White or Orange stripes. Black shoes with orange lace guards, and black socks.
I love the white helmets, and never want to change or replace them. Black helmets could be used in the Orange and White game as well.

People say that the black jersey is traditional for UT. Yes, it was before we became a big time program. We were just like many programs that wore a generic jersey with highlight colors on their uniforms. We were also an average program. The last time we had back to back losing seasons was 1910 and 1911.

But in the early 1920's we changed to school colors, Tennessee Orange and White. With that change we decided to be a competitive program with the hiring of General Neyland. We have not wore black jerseys since. From 1926 until just a few years ago we were the winningest football program in the country.

Two years ago we broke out the black jerseys for the USCe Halloween game. Since that time we have suffered back to back losing seasons for the first time in 100 years.
Go figure.


So are far as I am concerned, black jerseys are a curse and I am happy that Vandy has to wear them. I also enjoy watching UGA have blackouts and getting their pooch spanked every time.

Wow. Black jerseys are cursed. Now I've heard it all.

Maybe the lack of talent on the team and on staff is the reason for sucking lately.

Oh, and UGA is 2-1 in blackouts. Whoulda thunk it?

Your stats are incorrect. I know Bama put a half a hundred on them with a blackout in Athens and UF beat them with the blackout helmets in Jacksonville.
