Are you talking about the orange on orange look or the white pants with orange stripes?

I agree, the helmet's orange does not match the "old" orange or the "new" orange. However, it's 2 different materials, so even the same color code will appear different because the base material is not the same. Even the Green Bay Packers' helmets are slightly darker than their pants.

I've lived for years hearing and reading other schools' fans referring to the Vols as "that team with the hideous orange" jerseys. I used to disagree with them, now I just stay quiet.

I really wish anyone but Adidas was our uniform supplier.

You realize any other provider would use the same orange, right. Sorry if you've lost your love for our beautiful color but I hear Vandy has some new unis and they are giving new fans 10% off at Barnes n Noble.

I didn't lose it. Our beautiful color changed to a very not beautiful color. It doesn't match any of the previous orange jerseys from the last 30 years.

That's because these new tech fits are closer to actual "Tennessee orange" than any previous jersey. These are bright and fairly vivid and so is our actual color. The helmet decals and previous jerseys had all been too dark.

The real Orange is that PMS number someone mentioned, which is as close as possible to the Orange daisies that grow/grew on the Hill. Which is much lighter than most of the merchandise and former uniforms. Chosen in 1889.

These uniforms are awful, however im a huge advocate for the orange helmet, dont change the uniform at all, simply just have the orange helmet for maybe 1 game this year, Still the school colors ORANGE and WHITE (not black, the black jersey is overdone and not a school color) just an inverted color scheme.

Would absolutely love to see the Vols in the GA Dome against NC state wearing
-This orange helmet w/ White Power T
-Traditional White Away Jersey (since we are the visiting team)
-Orange pants that we have been wearing on the road recently.
Basically the opposite of the home jersey scheme, white helmet & orange power T, orange jersey, white pants.

I think this would look really sharp and be only a minor change to the uniform, nothing radical IMO.

what do yall think, love to hear!

Why would we want our helmets orange? to make us look like we are wearing a pumpkin for a helmet? terrible idea and one that needs to be buried.

id like to see a light grey/white/orange uni combination for just one game.otherwise i like our uniforms except for small fonts and white cleats. the black cleats were better.

how about wearing an orange helmet for the game closest to Halloween, with a scary looking ghost or pumpkin on the jersey for added effect??
