how about wearing an orange helmet for the game closest to Halloween, with a scary looking ghost or pumpkin on the jersey for added effect??

And have a headless horsemen on top of a TN walking horse with sounds of ghosts and other traditional scary noises coming out the PA (sarcasm)

The Great Uniform Debate | Wogan on Sports

These uniforms are awful, however im a huge advocate for the orange helmet, dont change the uniform at all, simply just have the orange helmet for maybe 1 game this year, Still the school colors ORANGE and WHITE (not black, the black jersey is overdone and not a school color) just an inverted color scheme.

Would absolutely love to see the Vols in the GA Dome against NC state wearing
-This orange helmet w/ White Power T
-Traditional White Away Jersey (since we are the visiting team)
-Orange pants that we have been wearing on the road recently.
Basically the opposite of the home jersey scheme, white helmet & orange power T, orange jersey, white pants.

I think this would look really sharp and be only a minor change to the uniform, nothing radical IMO.

what do yall think, love to hear!

Go Big Orange

This is my favorite away uniform combination by far. Before Fulmer took the job, UT always wore orange pants on the road. Im not a fan of solid color uniforms like orange on orange or white on white. The white on orange look is really cool, and it's back for good.

Since it looks like we are going to be the road team in the Kick off classic, do we wear the orange pants? I'm guessing something like that gets determined really close to game week.

I would like to see both teams wear their home jerseys. This whole white jersey thing is dumb if the teams' colors are different. Unless a team just likes wearing white; a la LSU.

Agreed. The only reason teams switched to wearing white was due to black and white television. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I wish white jerseys would be done away with except in cases we play teams with similar colors,

We are the away team for the nc state game ,and I hope we wear the orange pants and win so it will shut everybody up that says they're cursed.

I'd actually like to see the all white uni's make a comeback, if not just for this one game.

Totally agree. I believe it was called the storm trooper look. IMO it was just a cleaner look. I also miss the big numbers too. Basically I liked the 90's unis the best.

Agree 100% on the larger numbers! Would love to see them come out in the old school white jerseys with the orange numbers and the thin seperated orange outline of the numbers (no black).

Yeah, college and pro have went without the full knee covered pads for a while now. I'm not sure if it's just specialists or what, but I think it makes it less constricting while running.

Mostly Recievers, and some RBs. DBs are going to it now.

I played Semi-Pro ball back in the late 80s, and was a WR. We didnt wear them back then. There is just a bit of restriction on the knees with proper knee pads, and that slows you down. In a world of 4.31 -v- 4.4, everything counts just a little.
