Tennessee Volunteers NCAA | Eastbay.com Look at the NEW items - compare the color with others --- :realmad:

Wait until you see it in person, seeing photos and photoshops on websites aren't going to be a great gauge of what color they actually are.

Most of the time the pictures on the websites are photoshop jobs that the sites get before the item is ever produced.

In B4 "Its the right orange its the light that changes the color."

Please UT put a end to Adidas.

It's the truth. If you came up with a technology that made light colors appear the same in different lights, you'd be a millionaire with offers from every clothing company in the world.

If you don't want to believe it that's fine, but don't send thinly-vieled shots that basically call me a liar.

I would be willing to wager there are a fair amount who want Nike just because they feel it is a status symbol and that is the brand of tennis shoes their mom or dad bought them when they were young and they have kept using the brand for status.

The best tennis shoes are not made by Nike, their just the most popular. New Balance makes tennis shoes that last a long time and you get a more custom fit because they offer different widths. Puma is the sponsor of Usain Bolt, doesn't appear his shoes are a disadvantage on the track running against guys wearing Nike.

The biggest push for Nike comes from the 16-25 age demographics because their the ones who wear Nike the most and not because Nike is best but because they feel its the cool brand.

This

I hate Nike. I can't get their shoes to last much longer that 9-12 months.

I wish we could get something different from the shoe department. The standard issue for the Rowing Team are not very good running shoes. They run A LOT in those shoes, and they suck. (only way I can put it, my apologies to the Adidas overlords) Cant train when your legs hurt.

My kid went to the local running store, picked up a great pair of New Balance, and says that the difference is HUGE. I can even see the difference in her stride during her morning runs. (Im riding the dang bike....I cant keep up with her!!!) Anyways, the gear that the Rowing team gets is fine (and includes that sweet Track Jacket that yall are drooling over) But the shoes leave a lot to be desired.

I am sure if the university and the rowing team coaches thought it was an inferior product they could go to Adidas and get a more suitable pair made IMO.

As far as your New Balance reference, I agree they make a quality tennis shoe and made in the USA.

Im sure it is the best shoe available, for whatever price is allotted for them.

And yeah, I have become a NB fan. They are quality shoes, no doubt.

How 'bout these?

NB makes running shoes. There is no guarantee your daughter got actual running shoes from Adidas. Right shoe for the activity is the key

The coaches for each sport meet with the athletic trainers and the Adidas rep to select the best shoe for each sport's needs. If the shoes were inadequate for the activity, that's on the coach and the trainer. They make a pretty big effort on this.

In fairness to adidas, the shoes could be just fine for everyone else, and just suck for my kid. (I guess I should play fair here!!!) Different feet, different strides, etc.

That's true. I know they've made custom shoes for athletes in the past that have had trouble with shin splints, etc. The athletic trainer can also order orthotic inserts for the shoes that would help with any issue, I know they do that for basketball and volleyball to accommodate the "Active Ankle" braces that they wear.

Back in the day when I was young, the Chuck Taylor All Stars was the shoe to have, the expensive shoe company back then was Adidas.

She will probably just keep the NBs available for the long runs, heavy workout days, and use the Adidas shoes for weights, race days, official uni type stuff. Keep the NBs in the bag for when she needs them.

My one yr old a has a pair of these along with his jersey with #1 and his last name on the back. GAME DAY WEAR...

My boy is 4, and I know he would love them. My daughers are 19 and 16, and they would certainly wear them.

I used to have a green pair back in Jr High and then a Red pair in HS. But ProKeds were the shoes of style back in my HS days. Paid 60bucks for a pair of them. I think I still have them packed away somewhere.

I have a photo from his Birthday i wanna post and cant get it to work. Maybe someone would let ne email it to them and them post it for me??
