With the correct orange that would be sweet. I've always wanted to see us reverse the color scheme on the helmets, but noooooo black outlines!!!!

Very simple, Tennessee's colors are ORANGE and WHITE. IMO those are the only acceptable colors on a Tennessee uniform. I also want the uniform to have a very classic/traditional look. I can't stand these teams who get schizophrenic with their uniforms. Teams with tradition have a classic look that is instantly recognized, we have one of those classic trademarks that is instantly recognizable. The orange power T on the white helmet and the bright orange jersey.

Home uniform - White helmet, orange stripe, orange power T/Orange jersey with white numbers/ White pants with two orange stripe

Road uniform- Same helmet/white jersey with orange numbers/ orange pants with two white stripes

These are best uniforms in my opinion

I agree with everyone on keepin our traditional look. I like that we don't have to do crazy uniforms like Oregon to attract attention. But pls, for the love of all that is good TN, pls go back to NIKE!!! Hate Adidas fan apparel.

Are colors are orange and white.

Charles Moore, president of the university's athletic association, chose orange and white for the school colors on April 12, 1889. His inspiration is said to have come from orange and white daisies which grew on the Hill. To this day there are still orange and white flowers grown outside the University Center. Although students confirmed the colors at a special meeting in 1892, dissatisfaction caused the colors to be dropped. No other acceptable colors were agreed to, however, so the colors were reinstated one day later and orange and white have remained the university colors since. The official Tennessee orange is Pantone Matching System number 151.


There weren't any other colored daisies on that hill.

Our colors are orange and white period!!!!

A-then please explain to me how the TENNESSEE LADY VOLS have blue as well?
and
B-Its not like people are on here saying we should go with a lavender or yellow or some crap like that.

Dang, some people really need to lighten up and chill out. If you would stop supporting a university just bc they changed a color or two, then frankly, you should just go ahead and leave your support at the front door because it's about as fickle as your attitude. JMO

The Lady Vols wear blue because they weren't under the same athletic department for years and years. It may change now, but in the past, Down the Field could not be played at Lady Vol games because it was the men's athletics fight song

Nope just taught the UT traditions. I'm 40, but ask my 21 year old son and he will tell you the same thing. We are all about the traditions. You can't just change because the fans want an update. I think we went to far when we added the black into the uniform. The colors are

ORANGE AND WHITE!!!!

Don't like the blue either our colors are simple Orange and White. I tell people if they want different colors then go find a team that has them, but Tennessee's colors are say it with me

ORANGE AND WHITE

I will never stop supporting UT period.

I have been very upset with the last few years and the way our coaches have been treated. The way the coach Fulmer and coach Summit have been treated. The way the university handle both those situations is unacceptable.

But, I'm still here and my blood still bleeds orange.

How bout sticking to the actual school colors (orange & white) and just putting some sort of new/interesting details on the jerseys/pants. They at least took a step with the orange collars on the white jerseys.

I like this idea, but I also want us to pull out the black jerseys when we actually become good and competitive.

Sorta like how the Huskers have the "black-shirt defense." Although they still havent returned to prominence to pull them out again.
