I can tolerate ONE change up a year. Nothing too funky if that's what it's gonna be but don't get shed of our traditional uniform all together it ain't right.
I know there are still a few requests that I needed to do, but having been sick the last few days, I've honestly lost track of where I was or who was still waiting to see what.
I've not thought much on my own set of any new design as I've been also working on other Vol projects.
But as always, anyone can give me what concepts they wanna see and I'll gladly mock them up. : )>
I could see something once a year as well. Remember the unis worn against UNLV to open the '04 season? That was pretty cool.
The opening game, and early season marquis match-up on the road (Oregon, UCLA, etc.), Halloween. Every year provides an opportunity to something different for 1 game.
They've already got black on the away uni and have for a while. UT has changed the uni in the past. Subtle, but changes. It will change again. Not a matter of if but when. Change is becoming the new tradition. As long as its faithful to the colors and traditions I'm for it.They're not gonna change the uniforms. They're sticking with adidas. Orange and White has always been the Vols colors and that's the way it's staying. No black.
The traditionalist are getting there ass kicked with facts and I love it
Why are people comparing the NFL to NCAA football?
How many top college football programs keep their uniforms the same, for the most part, and continue winning? Pretty much all of them?
There aren't any facts to support why I like traditional uniforms. I like them. I like them and no one can change that... even by using "facts" to prove me wrong.
I don't give a rats ass what the NFL does. NFL teams change uniforms to make more money.
When Alabama plays the Vols I want it to look the same as it did 30 years ago.
I see what you're saying and I think Bama should always wear their Crimson jerseys and UT should always wear Orange jerseys.
Personally, I don't like the black outline on the white jerseys. There isn't black anywhere else on the uni to tie it together. But it's been on there since the 1994 South Carolina game and probably isn't going away.
I think you could get the number to stand out by using a shade of grey which wouldn't stand out on it's own but make the orange numbers readable...which is why the black was added.
