Stick a fork in Steele. He's done. Even if the WP withdraws, all that is left are heavily Dem areas.

It would be so nice to feel as though my vote did something for once..

All of the major cities for TN have yet to fully report so you're talking a hge chunk of numbers. Webb is closing in VA.

That's not true. Davidson county is half reported with Ford at 60% of the vote. At that rate, he could get another 25,000 vote margin on Corker. In Shelby county, 86% of the votes are in. Ford could at most (IMO) pick up another 15,000 votes. That makes 40,000..the current margin is 60,000. So...look for the final margin to maybe creep to within 20,000 but no closer. I don't see how it can happen.

Well if you noted I said FULLY....

I was going by what the state's website was saying.

Keep in mind that just because you say half the precincts have or have not reported, you cannot deduce votes based on that. Some precincts may have seen a higher turnout or higher totals for specific candidates.

I do agree that Webb is closing. But he sits at about 2500 votes down right now. I only see another 500 votes coming out of Richmond..and another 500 votes out of Arlington...and maybe another 700 or so out of Charlottesville. That makes it very close...to within less than 1000 votes. But I think that is as close as it gets...unless they haven't counted a lot of absentees or military votes that are swayed one way.

Edit: If I would pay attention..things happened faster than my calculator could keep up. That 2500 vote margin I was talking about was in favor of webb...not against. Look for him to still pick up another 1000-1500 vote Margin as Arlington, Richmond, and Charlottesville close out. But...of course...you never know unless you can see exactly what precincts within those cities are left uncounted.

Where are you guys getting the Virginia results? I just saw Allen with an 1,800 vote lead with 99.1% reporting, but then saw Webb with a 3,000 vote margin on Fox News.

Also, does this number include absentees?

The theme I keep seeing tonight . . . .conservative Democrats are back - at least temporarily.

Now I see that Drudge is picking up the same vote totals I just saw on another website - Allen by 1,800 votes with 99.1% reporting.

Well the State website is saying Allen is up by 1800 votes. But the networks are saying different. Not sure where they are getting their numbers.

That's where I was getting my numbers - the VA state website. Who knows?
