Some of my fondest memories with my dad were UT games. The 4 hour drive up, the game,the drive home. Great great memories. Sorry for loss. Know that he is in God's hands and you were a good son so you should have plenty of great memories to cherish. He is where we all will be one day, sooner or later.

My dad lasted until 72, but it wasn't any easier to see him go.
But Vol fans never really die; they just move on to their reward beside the great god Odin (General Neyland) in Volhalla.

OP- What makes me smile is knowing you and your dad had such a close relationship. That's priceless nowadays. I'll pray for you, but remember you had a great relationship with him. Keep your head up.

Thanks for sharing. Sounds like a great man, father, grandfather and VFL. Going to Utah State game with my dad, 78 yrs young, going to cherish it even more. Prayers and blessing to you and your family.

Regret your loss. I have no doubt he's right up THERE and will be still cheering his Vols to future glory. We may have lost a fan, you a dad, his family a patriarch, but Heaven gained a Vol.
