It appears he enjoyed a good life and great family. Those can never last long enough, for him or his loved ones. Treasure the memories. My heartfelt sympathies.

He has my beard and he always seems to be wearing something Tennessee Orange like I do but he's 2 years older.

I'm very sorry and sad to hear of this loss my friend.

My deepest condolences and I pray for God to bless and comfort you, your family and friends during this sad time.

God bless you all my friend.

Condolences brother... I was at that game too. Strange to think we may have bumped into each other. makes you appreciate things more seeing the fun in everyones eyes from the photographs. nothing like the memories from a roadtrip together. I hope to meet you in Neyland one day before the good Lord takes either of us. Stay strong for Momma.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Last night around 10:30pm my father passed away from a massive heart attack.

He was a lifelong Vol fan and read nearly every thread posted here daily. We would often read every article in the morning, and Tony Basilio's blog and then discuss the upcoming season together. He loved the Vols and we watched many games together over the years. I will cherish these moments and memories for the rest of my life.

He was looking forward to this football season and believed that Butch Jones was the best coach that we could have gotten. He was truly excited to watch the games with his boys in the fall.

He was 62 years old when he passed. He was married to my mother for 40 years and was the only woman he ever knew. He leaves Momma, his 5 boys and 6 grandchildren behind who all loved him dearly.

I'm grateful for all the joy that you all have brought him over the years and he will be sorely missed.

Here is a few photos from last fall at the Missouri game with him and all of his sons together. It almost seems like a great farewell, that the only time all of the boys could watch a football game together in one place would be the last.

I miss you Daddy.

Praying for you and your family to have strength and find comfort in your grief. I'm also praising God for the wonderful example your father set for you and everyone he knew. Stay strong, brother.

You and your brothers should meet every few years at a Missouri game. Good memories to remember and share over and over. Thanks for sharing

Op sorry about your dad. I wish I had that relationship with my dad but didnt. But I do with my 3 sons and grandkids. Realize that as big of a vol fan as your dad was. He is getting to meet the ultimate volunteer now. Jesus was the ultimate volunteer he volunteered his life for our sins and that we may have ever lasting life.Hope your family has peace and only thoughts of great times with your dad. Iam sure hes smiling down and wanting to tell u about meeting a bigger volunteer than even him self.

Sorry for your loss andymuffins, my thoughts & prayers will be with you! He will live on through you & your families memories. Just feel blessed that you had such a great father to share those moments with, because some aren't blessed enough to have had any good memories of their father. Once again, I am sorry for your loss. I'm sure he will be missed immensely!
