Actually very happy that Tenn lost Friday’s game to Missouri. They need leg rest. Even with the depth Tenn has, playing a suffocating defense for 30 games takes the legs out from under you. Believe this contributed to the jump shots not falling the last 1/3 of the season. They were a legitimate top 5 team early but as the wear and tear of playing defense so hard, they simply lost the spring to shoot jumpers. I can see a rejuvenated offense Thur night and possibly Sat if they get an easy 1 rd win. After that I think it takes an upset of Purdue to an earlier opponent of theirs, for the Vols to go advance any farther than Sweet 16. Even that is an excellent season.

They have a 6’ 11” big man that is averaging almost 20 pts game. They come in on a five game win streak. I don’t have to mention our streak the last 6 weeks. They will probably end our run just like last season. One and done.

I am actually not that concerned about UL, Duke in Greensboro is more of an issue but they aren't like normal so that is winnable too. Purdue (or Memphis) would be a load

I’m really not questioning it, he is the coach and has won a lot of games. Maybe he sees in practice he doesn’t have the shooters to compete night in and night out, but defense is consistent (except against really good shooters) . I personally love great shooters and think basketball is won with great guard play, and average front court will do.

The opponents don’t matter in March…the bad teams turn good and the good teams turn bad. Our “bad” bracket could turn out to fit our team well. The underdog mentality may work well for Tennessee. Will have to wait and see, but I know we have one game and that’s better than some teams at least

Tennessee has beat 3 of the #1 seeds Bama, Texas&Kansas & didn’t play Purdue which would be a terrible matchup for us.

Tennessee was favored in every game they lost in the last 12 games except for TA&M. They finished 5-7, not sure they have the horses to keep up with the Cajuns, hope I am wrong and they get to the Sweet 16.

I havnt recovered from last years kick in the nuts. Definitely felt like we were the HOT team last year and it was finally our year.

I don’t have a clue but anytime your team is 26-7 and you’re averaging almost 20 a game…..you can play at any level in college. Heck, I’d love our bigs to average 6 a game and hit a foul shot. With that said, what’s your point?
