Bunch of sissies in this thread. Scared of Louisiana? If we can't beat them, then who even cares about making the dance? Lay the points and look forward to a rare meeting against Dook.
That a boy.Goodness gracious. There hasn't been a single year where a bunch of our fans aren't moaning and crying over our seeding, our region, and/or our bracket. These people aren't even worth responding to.
Just friggin' beat who is in front of you. Win 4 in a row and we're in our 1st ever FF. That's it.
Crazy isn’t it? Favored by more than any other 4 seed. Could we be upset? Sure that’s the nature of the tournament. And so could any other 3 seed or lower. But it would be a major upset.Bunch of sissies in this thread. Scared of Louisiana? If we can't beat them, then who even cares about making the dance? Jay has his final four picks. We beat 3 of them. Alabama, Texas and Kansas. SMH. Hope we can dig deep and surprise them!!!!!Yep Clark Kellogg picked the Rajun Cajuns to pull the upset. Great opportunity for the Vols to win then a possible win over the storied Duke program. No lack of motivation for the Big Orange. In general thought the SEC being so tough throughout conference play hurt the league's seeding. Texas A&M a 7 seed...please!! Tennessee was the second highest seeded SEC team at #4. Vols beat both Kansas and Texas yet Kansas State a #3. Too much respect for the Big 12 if you ask me
Another year. Another exit by the second round.
Hard to get exited when you know the cap.
We have a decent draw IMO. We *should* handle LA. They do not have the typical tools that trip us up. Duke would not be my 2nd round choice but they are not the ironclad giant some are portraying.
If you want to find a team that the Committee screwed with their draw, look (again) at Texas A & M. Got a 7 seed, should have been a 6 (maybe even last 5). Matched against upset potential Penn St who has won 8 of last 10, 6 of those against tourney teams, and both losses (including today to Purdue) by a total of 5 pts. Then, if they win that game, they have to face Texas, the strongest #2 IMO, who is playing a well as any team in the country right now. Oof.
Just that UL has played a pretty weak schedule and I’m less concerned about a 6’11 guy that’s used to posting up against 6’7 guys dominating us inside than I am about a 6’11 guy that has experience and success playing against the kind of length we’ll be able to throw at him.I don’t have a clue but anytime your team is 26-7 and you’re averaging almost 20 a game…..you can play at any level in college. Heck, I’d love our bigs to average 6 a game and hit a foul shot. With that said, what’s your point?
He got solid minutes and good production when he was at Arizona, but didn't stick around when Sean Miller got canned. He was 6-16 against USA's 7-footer Kevin Samuel in the conference final, but was 13-15 against him in their previous matchup. He'll probably do fine against us, but it'll take more than that for them to get a result.Just that UL has played a pretty weak schedule and I’m less concerned about a 6’11 guy that’s used to posting up against 6’7 guys dominating us inside than I am about a 6’11 guy that has experience and success playing against the kind of length we’ll be able to throw at him.
Then don't watch. I just don't understand complaining about having to pay the Ragin' Cajuns and then the chance to match up with one of the most storied programs in CBB. March Madness, baby!I don’t think anyone is scared of Lousiana. I just think we have watched the last 6 weeks of bad basketball….game after game. This team’s confidence is down the drain with this season.
JRich showed out the entire tournament. Believe it was the first time we all saw in full bloom his incredible all around game.We were last 4 in, beat Iowa in O/T in Dayton, OH, we were there to see it. I believe it was Josh Richardson who put the team on his back to pull it out. We went on to the elite 8.
