Well CFB playoff ranking is all that matters. If we manage to only drop to 9th there we may still have a shot at a NY6 bowl if we win against Vanderbilt.

Were you one of the people saying we would beat Georgia or Bama but lose to SC? I’m talking about before the season started, of course. There were a few posters saying that and they got absolutely roasted for saying it.

Spurrier literally transformed how offense was played in the SEC.

We played a team last night that didn’t score an offensive TD the week prior.

Im 42 and Sunseri never looked like the BS we put on the field last night. I would seriously tell every db that played last night to pack their **** and I would go to the portal and fill every spot. It can not be worse by having some kids who give a fk and want to be here. Nothing last night showed me any them have heart or want too.... absolutely nothing

Prior to last nite, South Carolina was 9th in the conference in scoring, 11th in the conference in total offense, then they played the number 5 team in the country with zero defense, underprepared, too busy watching the CFP playoff unfold, Tennessee gave up over 600 yards and the most points in modern Tennessee football history,

Epic failure, total meltdown on the next to last weekend in the regular season

I still can't get over the fact that SC scored a TD on every possession except 1 (the punt on their first possession of the 2nd half). This of course is not counting the clock running out at the end of each half. You certainly can't win a game like that. If is unfathomable for me.

I like the optimism! We need more of it! The chance of all that happening is slim but there's a chance. None of those scenarios are a long shot when looked at individually.
Also, if there were a 12 team playoff as is being implemented in 2024, we would only need 1 loss ahead of us and we would host a first round playoff game, I have been against the 12 team format but this makes me rethink it. Maybe it will make things more exciting?

In my opinion that was the worst defensive performance as far as my memory goes back, and that gets us to 1989.

I think if we lose a third game some of you are going to be jumping off a cliff. From 3-9 to 9-2 in two years is a great improvement, just got to beef up the defense with quality players. And those of you that think Nico is going to come in here and start day 1 is insane. But if he does, I will take the bashing.

I am going to get burned for this but how is it when we lose the big games Hendon goes out hurt? This was the first time this year but only are second lose but last year it happened against Ole Miss and Alabama didn't it ?

The Vols are #9 and Bama and LSU are both ranked higher despite all 3 having the same record. Shouldnt Tennessee be ranked higher since they beat both LSU and Bama ?

Well LSU will lose to GA so they will settle below the Vols for bowl considerations. Not sure about Bama since we beat them. I do think that the Vols would be a bigger draw (tv wise) for New Years 6 based on this season’s tv numbers.

It will certainly make things more exciting for a greater number of teams......we are currently the perfect example of the difference.
