Like a Batman Character - the 'Babbler' goes on rampage after rampage against a successful coach who is trying to elevate the school to elite status. Or perhaps you would prefer to change your name to 'Whiner BasketVol' which might be more accurate.

Oh and last I checked this thread was about his raise and extension, not your own personal diatribe about him coaching a team in Isreal.

Last I checked, the next semi intelligent post you put forth will be your first. I'm quite certain whether or not a guy shows up to do the job he's getting paid to do is relevant to a thread about his contract and salary. what does him coaching a team in Israel have anything to do with him elevating UT basketball to an elite team? Is UT giving him the money for travel expenses? His job is to bring in talent and coach UT.

Wow. Must be a story behind hatvols' hate for Pearl??? Since I don't live on here, I'm sure I missed it. Love or hate Pearl, which I do neither, bottom line is he's filled a lot of seats. Football or basketball, it's all about attendance for Hamilton. Kiffin haters have been encouraged to pull for another team. What about Vandy or Memphis? Not too late to jump on the UK bandwagon. Face it, Pearl is here for awhile. He loves his bank account as much as hatvol loves his. More basketball insight and less hate-filled diatribes please.

Actually HV and BPV are two of the more deserving GURUS on here based on knowledge of sports and the gift to gab.

I realize SEC e winners is not much to place on the resume, but it does point out that we were better than two of the more elite programs in Kentucky and Florida. And two of the better, more well respected coaches in the nation.

I can't speak about BPV, don't know if I have felt he puts other people down to make himself look superior, but if being pompous is a gift, then you are correct about HV. :good!:

Congratulations. We were barely better than Kentucky in their two or three worst years in their history.

Give CBP a raise! As for Florida - everyone with a little common sense knows that their 2 NC were a perfect scenario and someone like Buzz Peterson could have won a NC with that squad CBD had. What has he done since? What did he do before? He has been there quite awhile and had a bit of success but mainly underachieved come tourney time. He's a good recruiter and an above average coach - but he put together one of the best 5 or 6 players with amazing chemistry/passing skills and was able to roll.

From my experience on the board...BPV just calls it likes he sees it. With that said, he does not go out of his way to insult others with different opinions. Although, at times it is warranted.

BPV has my respect as a B-Ball informant. FWIW.

What the Hell are you talking about? Kentucky has been so pleased with the last four years that the two coaches presiding over those seasons are elsewhere.

That's the point, both you guys make great contributions to the site, many times with humor. I really don't see any difference. And its not negative or self defeating all the time.

Back to football, Pearl is in Isreal, most likely enjoying his new raise, his new extension, and buying new Hannakah (not Jewish so don't know if this spelled right) candles from the Holy Land.
