Vols Favored Big vs USCe -- How?

Early lines are from 11 to 13.

How is this possible?
Home game and USCe's OL is terrible while UT's front leads the SEC in sacks and TFLs. You also have the SEC's leading rushing team going against the worst. UT avg's 229.5 ypg vs USCe's 75.75. FBS opponents are averaging 468 yds vs USCe's D. All three of their FBS opponents have gotten more than 400 yds. UT is allowing 290 vs FBS opponents. None of their opponents has gotten more than 349.

Granted UVA isn't on par with UNC offensively but UF is probably a better team than MSU right now.

Also, people making bets and odds makers do not necessarily watch every game. They look at scores and stats. UT just put up over 500 yds and 45 points against a UTSA D that has credibility (earned or residual).

Regardless what the experts on here think I thought the Starters in the secondary played solid Saturday. Hence “Starters”…. We played a lot of backups in 2nd half….our young LB’s were lost several times.
Not sure if Beasley even played 2nd half.
Getting out of position eliminates talent!
Good post. I don't think Beasley did. Someone else on D was held out too while a bunch of young guys played a lot.

I think you saw some guys make an impact. I would love to see Turnage get more run with the 1's. He must be awful in practice because he's a gamer that seems to always show up in the right places.

Vegas seen how the game went last year and think since it will be in Neyland this year that there is a blowout lurking, or they wanting to jinx us by making it look that way. but i say wth Vols 62 chickens 24

I completely agree about Turnage and I think he will. The SEC is a grind and the Coaches know they have to get the young guys some experience. Someone will go down unfortunately and bringing a guy in especially in the secondary is fatal if their subject to busting a coverage.

A home night game against a 1 dimensional team. A lot of people probably see this as a "get right" game for the Vols, I do not.
I seriously doubt anyone sees it as that. If they do, they know nothing about football and maybe even sports in general lol

Betting lines are largely a reflection of the expectations of the betting public at large. They are not an attempt to predict the final outcome of a game; they are designed to get betting "action" placed equally on both teams.

Other than damage control with X. Legette, spying Rattler on passing downs is my biggest concern.

I think Jeremy Banks played the best game of his Vol career against Alabama, he did a great job spying Bryce Young. Rattler didn't rush for too many yards last year, but extended a lot of plays throwing from outside the pocket. It killed us not having Banks.

E. Herring, A. Carter, or J. Talendar. Who gets the primary spy assignment?

It's the only way I can explain the spread. I have a little parlay tonight if I win I'm taking SC to cover

Vegas is big on REVENGE Games. With that line, they are asking bettors to take Usc. I don't get it. If JOE leaves 21 on the field as he did Saturday, SC wins it SU. The 45-14 score looks big, but there were as many misses as hits in the passing game. UT won't run it vs SC like UTSA. Joe must hit the shots downfield. I'm leaning on taking the points.

FanDuel has SCar at +10.5. I just got done saying I wouldn't bet on this game, but you may be leaning the right way on this line.
