IMO Herring is further along than the other two. I’m afraid Legette will eliminate bringing a safety up to help out with rattler.I think we need to get pressure up the middle and not let our edge guys pin their ears back rather use them more for outside containment. If we can push the pocket and contain Rattler from making plays on the run ( which he’s very good at) I like our chances. Of course we got to stop the run and make open field tackles or it’s going to be a long day. I hope Beasley is alright.Other than damage control with X. Legette, spying Rattler on passing downs is my biggest concern.
I think Jeremy Banks played the best game of his Vol career against Alabama, he did a great job spying Bryce Young. Rattler didn't rush for too many yards last year, but extended a lot of plays throwing from outside the pocket. It killed us not having Banks.
E. Herring, A. Carter, or J. Talendar. Who gets the primary spy assignment?
As a sec fan for more than 2 decades there have never been many predetermined outcomes. You have to be ready for almost everybody or you could lose. So many factors, folks have great nights and off nights. You have to be confident but not over confident. And you can’t let up. GBOWelcome to the new era of college football. Every team has some good players and some not so good. Every team can win, every team can lose. Not many predetermined outcomes. Should be interesting.
The way it should be parity. The same five to six teams at the top have dominated college football for the past ten to fifteen years. Glad to see them have to struggle - nothing wrong with that.Welcome to the new era of college football. Every team has some good players and some not so good. Every team can win, every team can lose.
