*****Vols get #5 seed in NCAAT; play Oregon State

ESPN talking heads are saying Oklahoma State was “mis-seeded” more than any other team. Most projections had them as the top 3 seed, some even a 2 seed. Yet they fell to a 4 and are put in our bracket. Tough matchup. Of course.

Only at Tennessee. We lose our senior leader to a cheap shot one day, and the next get a BS draw. Oh and I’m sure Payne from UF will still be playing every tourney game.

Really is it any coincidence that Tennessee borders more states than anyone in the USA, so we have more natural rivals than anyone; thus more schools want to see us fail? The NCAA selection committee chair is the Kentucky AD, and the UNC AD is on the committee as well as the southwestern conference commissioner from Birmingham. Bernadette Mcglade the A-10 commissioner from Richmond, VA as well. So out of only 10 people, 4 are from our border states. Sour grapes.

Yes, but Baylor is a very good defensive team and he still put up 26. You don’t shut down Cunningham. The way you win is shut down everyone else on that roster.
That’s the way Roy Skinner’s Vandy teams would always beat Maravich’s LSU teams. They’d completely shut down the other 4 players.

Lots of folks looking past Oregon State and into the 2nd and 3rd round matchups.

We shouldn't be...Oregon State has been hot here at the end of the season and in their conference tourney too. I think we have the toughest matchup of any of the 5 seeds.

No one is looking past Oregon State. Everyone that has said it's a tough draw is including Oregon State in that assessment. Any time you get a Power 5 conference champion in the first round is brutal.

Simply put...it's the Tenn Cup syndrome. You just come to expect it.
