Vols lost this game because...

They could've forced a shot from mid court but they let him drive within 30' of the basket then didn't attempt to defend him. WHY ?

They could've. Stop stating the obvious. We're well aware of that and know that it was a stupid play defensively. But that doesn't mean it was "skill" or "clutch" on a lucky on Anderson's part just because he made some other shots in previous game.

How was there no pressure and fatigue going into that shot? Sure - he wasn't drained - but its not like he had been on the bench the whole time.

AA often plays 40 minutes a game and has gotten considerable minutes the last 3 years. I doubt he was fatigued. As for pressure, I ma not sure if you were refering to defensive pressure (there wasn't much) or gametime pressure (end of 1st half, not game).

There's still pressure to get the shot off. And I don't care how many minutes per game he plays. If you're breathing heavily rather than just in a gym shooting standing still in the same spot - you're not going to be as effective shooting.

So the other 4 times he shot an desperate attempt from almost half court? Stop being so stupid on this issue. The kid wouldn't make that shot 95% of the time.

I'm not saying he's a bad player or isn't any good. But to actually give him props saying he practices that all the time and would make that consistently because he's clutch is just ignorant.

Only if I agree with you will I not be stupid . Sorry your wrong . Anderson is clutch and he's proved it . If you cant see that then your blind .If he didnt make his free throws last year in the reginals , guess what . There's no chance for a NC game , HE DID . I call that clutch , you can call it luck if you choose too.

I don't care if he's clutch. That's a shot that would be considered partly lucky for a player like Chris Lofton, who's 10x the shooter he is. It was luck. Plan and simple. There's no debating that.

Is Anderson clutch? Sure - I have no issue with you claiming that. But just because he's clutch doesn't not mean he didn't make a lucky shot - not based on skill or practice - which he did. Sometimes those shots just go in, and that one did.

When you lose such a close game there are multiple reasons for victory or defeat. Every possession is important in a game like this. Chism should have gotten the ball in the post more often. There was a couple of times when he had position and our guards just kept throwing it around the perimeter to Chism's frustration. If they would have gotten him the ball more then it would have opened up the outside more so our guards could miss more open three point shots.

Good post...We do not have a perimeter game and Bruce has to know this so why do we stay in this offense...We need to get the ball to the paint more and need more penetration because we are playing out of our relm and think we can do the same as last year...Only difference is we do not have a shooter...We will get this ship righted soon

Surprised to see JP working a mid range jumper. If he could get that thing working it would be a big lift. Why was Tabb even on the floorat the end of the game? I'm tired of the "this team can still get it going" etc.... This team is what it is.

True, but I think we expected far more from this team only due to the greatness of Tyler Smith. As good as Smith is he cannot carry this team on his shoulders. We also may not get the ship righted, but I think we have a good chance even if we do not improve much to make the big dance. Even if we lose the first game it will not be an unsuccessful season imo.
