Well, the way I see it, the home team generally gets 7 pts. So, Vandy by 4 (according to the line).

3 points is the typical home field advantage...not sure where you get a TD.

And for you and all the others saying it...the home field advantage MATTERS. It is, in fact, worth three points. So...not vandy by +4, Vols by 3.

Yea apparently people havent paid much attention to vandy this year, and they are ignoring the fact that our defense has regressed back to last year. We are gonna find out alot about this coaching staff saturday

We are going to reaffirm that the coaching staff can't coach speed. The same as any coaching staff in the country can't coach speed.

Do not start with excuses. This is a game between two evenly matched teams. So yes we will find out alot about this coaching staff this saturday.

I seriously doubt anyone believes that. We do know they beat the brakes off of a Florida team that beat us.

Eh, there's a bit of smoke and mirrors in that observation. FL pretty much dominated that game statistically. Candy manufactured 34 pts from a mere 183yds of offense. We very much need to avoid turnovers. (Fl had 4)

Kentucky also gave them 4 and they only scored 22.

Vandy's QB situation isn't good.

ACS is too gimpy to be a run threat or move much in the pocket. I think he will get sacked multiple times.

Sacked by who?

Our LB's who never blitz or our starting DE's who have 9.5 career sacks between them in the last 4 years combined?

I'm not scared of vandy. I think we win pretty easily. This isn't a Dooley coached team. We will be ready to play. Some of you sound like a bunch of pansies.

Scared of Vandy. Scoff.

Not sure it's regression as much as really bad depth issues at almost every position.

Vandy has already won the mental aspect of the game. Imagine ten years ago the fan base at UT arquing about how Vandy and UT would compete on the field? It used to be a dominant win for UT every year but it isn't anymore. We have fallen so far down................

Vandy sucks. What is their record? We aren't good but should cruise in the next two.

And Vandy has risen up like it or not. They just beat Florida in the swamp for the first time in like 500 years.

we should win by 30, it's Vandy

I got news for all you sunshine pumpers who perpetually think it's 1995-2001:

This ain't your daddy's Vandy and this ain't your daddy's Tennessee.

We'll be lucky to even be in the ballgame in the 4th qtr. and still have a shot at winning. Vandy's a better team than we are right now, and whether you like him or not, Franklin is a very good coach who inspires his players to overachieve. I can't remember a Tennessee coach who get us to overachieve, including Butch this year.

You don't think beating SC was overachieving?

Not for the whole season. We had one good game the whole year, that one. Even Georgia, was against a team that was depleted and not having a very good season.

Other than GA and SC, we've been obliterated by ever other good team on the schedule. I mean, we haven't even been remotely competitive. So, the season, taken as a whole, has been one of underachieving, not overachieving.

I mean I didn't expect to win maybe more than 6 games, but I did expect to at least show up and make some games more competitive this year. Jones, while recruiting well and saying all the right things, still hasn't gotten this team to perform the least bit better (as a whole) than what we've seen the last few years under Doofus. Results on the field are the bottom line, and we should have gotten a little bit better improvement than what Butch and Co. have been able to produce. Granted he needs more time, but he still needs to show he can get a team to consistently overachieve.
