Vols Switching to Nike?

The only way that Nike is judging first and second tier teams is $$$$$$$$$. As long as Tennessee fans are buying (and we are...maybe not at the pace we once were, but WELL ahead of most other schools) we will still be considered top tier.

it's as if the rest of the thread just doesn't exist :disappointed:

please take the time to read the posts from deerpark. I know they get repetitive for him but they explain the subject better than anyone else could.

As much as any other company has. It's not like the shade of orange we use is easily reproduced from material to material, fabric to fabric, etc. I have Nike apparel that's not 100% consistent. Same with adidas. Colosseum. Etc

Exactly. Every NCAA licensed company still uses PMS 151, but whenever you put on moisture wicking fabric it looks different than on cotton. When you put it on leather, it looks different still. This thread is nothing but a dumpster fire. No one wants to actually listen to facts.

Recruits like Nike, therefore I like Nike. Adidas always screw up Tennessee orange anyways...

Last year it took Adidas 2 mos to get Jarnell a pair of orange shoes! Bush league. As long as Nike doesn't try & make us Oregon I'm ok with them. We have standards & tradition that needn't be messed with.

Manager at the Nike store hinted it to me the other day. I picked up a pair of orange shoes and he said "UT gear, huh? Should be seeing more of that here soon."

You're correct that it takes more than just producing pigment to a specific number and 'eyeballin' it but it can be done.....consider that the auto companies make colors(gloss) to multiple materials, IE plastics, fabric, different metals, rubber, glass, and on and on...it can be done

well if anyone would have the inside scoop on UTAD negotiations it would certainly be a guy at his level

if anyone is saying UA is better quality, you should actually read reviews of some of their performance gear, like cleats. Horrible.

I've been impressed with practically every bit of Adidas clothing I've purchased over the past 12 years.
