if anyone is saying UA is better quality, you should actually read reviews of some of their performance gear, like cleats. Horrible.

I've been impressed with practically every bit of Adidas clothing I've purchased over the past 12 years.

I certainly agree w/ this as far as running shoes go. I've tried to be a loyal supporter of Adidas due to their UT alliance so I've bought their shoes etc. for years. About a year ago I was in need of new shoes and couldn't find any Adidas in my size, so out of necessity I went w/ a pair of Nike and was blown away by how comfortable they were. Haven't bought Adidas shoes since.

Doubt it all you want but people who know the process have said as much.

A school ranked in the top ten for all time wins is not a lower tier school. C'mon man! You and the process people are way off on this one. :nono: Ask Peyton or Al Wilson if they think UT is second tier.

The problem that you and some others have is that it doesnt matter in this discussion what you, Peyton, Al, or anyone else thinks, its all about the view Nike has of the program right now.

it doesn't matter what you, me, Peyton, Al or Gen Neyland himself think. It's about how Nike views us and structures the contract. That's it

I like Nike better, but I think you are one of many with Nike.
So my vote would be under armor, they dont have many major schools that will change allow uni changes so UT may get more attention.
that and adidas seems to struggle with what color we wear.

You acting like a petulant child has no bearing on the reality of how Nike, as a company, views our program and it's marketability.

The numbers don't lie. Look at the data and stop letting everyone tell you what to think. Fifteenth nationally in merch sales

Nike products are made in developing countries for slave wages, their opinion means nuts.

This 15th number you keep quoting is nice, but you have to understand that only covers schools that use CLC for their licensing, which leaves out a couple of schools that would be higher and does not cover deals that are signed separately from CLC.

Not possible. A company needs a year of lead time to produce apparel and uniforms for the teams and retail.

UT has already ordered all the Adidas gear for the 2014-15 school year and retailers will do the same very soon. Many, including the VolShop (formerly known at UT Bookstore) that provides in-stadium merchandise sales, have also ordered all of their merchandise for next year.

If they have already bought it all for next year are the smokey Gray jerseys making it back next season or something different? I personally loved them and obviously the players did too.

What I dont understand is how can Nike make and sell say UT fan gear if Adidas is our supplier. Does Nike have to pay UT something to do that or just a portion of what they make off it?

Dont get the nike slurp fest.

Adidas...which is the side company of puma due to a fight between brothers...is just as good or better quality in many aspects.

I hate nike shoes and they suck for running.

Asics builds a better running shoe.

Nike is nothing special.
