I normally agree, but pff is a good compliment to the eye test. The eye test shows that he was so ineffective he was benched at least three times during the season and got moved to guard because he was so bad at tackle.

I agree he wasn’t great- but from what I saw of A&M games it wasn’t anything more than a freshman playing before he was ready.

with positions like OL it’s impossible to know who’s mistake it was, grading some a 25 makes it seem like they are irredeemable trash.

I would blame that on the coach. You throw an 18 year old out there against someone with up to 5 years more experience you gonna have it rough unless they are the top 1%.

You are acting like Nico setting records in Year 1 as the starter should be the expectation. That’s just unrealistic. JD didn’t even do that his first year with ASU or his first year with LSU. It took time.

We are ALL just making assumptions since there is no evidence to anything regarding Nico yet other than a recruiting service star ranking. But some people’s assumptions are a lot more ridiculous than others.

From what little PT he received..the offense looked like last year’s offense a little..he was actually moving the ball down field making quick decisions..something Joe struggled with for two years…TIFWIW.I’m actually excited to see more of Nico..way different player than from JD..
