'24 Vols Transfer Offers

There are no floors with this program. Questioning the existence of ceilings in this new SEC tho. Pretty sure we might be bumping into one going forward.

Crazy. Program goes 8-4 in a transition year and it’s the end of the world. 8-4 was our ceiling with past coaches. There’s no ceiling for any top half SEC program going forward.

Current dream portal class (9): OT Trey Wedig, OL Chase Bisontis, IOL Nate Anderson, TE Holden Staes, WR Juice Wells, keep DE Tyler Baron or get Quincy Wiggins, DT Dre Butler/Xavier McLeod, LB Xavier Sorey, CB Nyland Green.

Darnell Wright didn’t. Neither did Drew Richmond
Chase bisontis was statistically one of the worst lineman in college football this year. He had muiltiple games which his pff grade was under 25. This isn’t saying I wouldn’t take him as he could improve but let’s not act like he was good this last year because he was a freshman all American.

Which of those have we offered?

Its relative. We lost to Florida, mizzou is ahead of us somehow this year, and we lost to bama and Georgia. Recruiting wise we are still flirting with middle of the sec. It’s just the reality of having a year like last year. We wanted to grasp all the momentum from it and basically stalled out this year. They better clean up in the portal.

Recruiting wise we are top 4-5 in the SEC. Ain’t gonna be the top until NIL actually steps up more and we beat UGA and Bama on the field. Is how it is. I don’t care about actual rank. I care about average of recruit. The Florida loss was bad. Mizzou was just a really good team this year. Is what it is, I don’t think they have resources to be a consistent top dog. We do. This was always gonna be a down year but the only bad L really is the UF game. 9-3 was probably always the ceiling this year.

With expanded playoff next year I think they have to sellout to make it. Just keep fixing the roster issues aggressively as we can is my vote.

PFF is absolutely worthless and should never be used to judge players

I normally agree, but pff is a good compliment to the eye test. The eye test shows that he was so ineffective he was benched at least three times during the season and got moved to guard because he was so bad at tackle.

I would blame that on the coach. You throw an 18 year old out there against someone with up to 5 years more experience you gonna have it rough unless they are the top 1%.

Get Diggs to replace Baron. Upgrade.

I won’t be mad if we got Nolen but I won’t lose sleep over it if we don’t. Think there’s character issues with him tbh.

Need some studs in the secondary for sure.

I think Defense is our biggest need and you go after that in the portal. After that you go get a TE and maybe an OL.

I think we can play our younger WRs so I wouldn’t focus on WR in the TP. If a stud falls in our lap then cool but I wouldn’t make it a top priority.
See I agree with you about defense. That’s the biggest need. I mean we saw what happens when your DL plays really good. Our poor secondary actually looks decent. Nolen is a top notch DT. He would instantly make almost any DL in the country better.

Does Gabe Jeudy-Lally have another year of eligibility?

Right now, our CB room for next year is De'Shawn Rucker, Christian Harrison, Jordan Matthews, Rickey Gibson III, Cristian Conyer, Kaleb Beasley, and Marcus Goree Jr.
