What stuck out to me is Walz repeatedly referencing legislation that he passed in Minnesota and Vance had absolutely no such references. His experience in politics is basically nothing and during that short time he has waffled on key issues. Definitely not someone I want leading the country if ole Don kicks the bucket.

What stuck out to me was in his time as Gov of MN, was having the curfew during Floyd. Allowing his police officers to fire freely in the dark to residents on their porch. Elderly, kids, white, black and so on. That’s what the left expected from Trump now here we are with Walz doing it.

I don't recall many references to legislation in Minnesota, though he did reference Minnesota a lot (Mayo clinic, medical corridor, etc).

The one item that stood out to me regarding his legislation was when he spoke about signing 2023 legislation to "restore Roe." Vance asked Walz specifically if the legislation made it so that a doctor is under no obligation to provide "live-saving care" to a baby who survives late-term abortion. Walz did not answer.

In looking at Minnesota's legislation, the law did change upon Walz signing the bill into law.

The old law said that “All reasonable measures consistent with good medical practice,..., shall be taken by the responsible medical personnel to preserve the life and health of the born alive infant.” (Empahsis added.)

The new law says doctors must “care for the infant who is born alive.” (Empahasis added.)

"Preserve life and health" vs. "care for." Those strike me as distinctly different.
If there is no difference between the two laws why change the language?

To me, Walz's unwillingness to answer such a basic question about his understanding of a law projected a lack of confidence in public support of the law he championed at the debate.
