wamp vs haslam

brilliant

I suppose you took that as me saying he isnt a true conservative. Which wasnt the case. Actually right to life isnt a conservative stance but people see it as one. Either way who cares whether you are supported by the NRA or the right to life organizations in this economy?

Yeah we need a true conservative who only wants to talk about his endorsement from the NRA and right to life. Thats all well and good but we need someone who has a little bit more to bring to the table in a tough economy. Ramsey needs to drop out because he has no chance. Ultimately haslam will probably buy the election

Wamp is not a fiscal conservative. There are way too many undecided voters left for anyone to drop out.

I agree here, Haslam will likely be the next Gov.

I wasn't saying anything of the sort. I was saying that your characterization a true conservative, based upon two meaningless social issues, was, shall we say, less than brilliant.

Wamp is a snake.

If you boted for the bail out time to get the hell out.

I like Ramsey too. And how is it being stupid calling it like it is. These endless programs that spend spend have got to go plain and simple.

I have no idea who haslam is to be frank one way or the other.

I think he also voted for cash for clunkers and stimulus?

IIRC, he also voted for the McCain-Feingold so-called Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act.

I don't trust Wamp, he speaks as a conservative when he's running for office, but then he gets soft once the campaign is over.

I'm leaning toward Haslam because he seems to know how to run a business and what it takes to attract business to our state.

I agree Haslam is a great businessman, but last night he never answered a question and today 3 conservative radio talk show hosts wanted all 3 R candidates in for a radio debate and Ramsey and Wamp showed up, only Haslam wealsed out.

Umm actually anyone who is saying that ramsey is the "only" true conservative is basing it off of those insignifact social issues.

Rule of politics - when in the lead, you have no reason to be in debates when not needed. It's as simple as that.

Another rule - when behind, attack like a rabid dog like Wamp and Ramsey did last night.

I would say he knew that 3 hosts would not let him spin and would make him answer questions, which he failed to do last night.

Wow we can point out a few errors from wamp congratulations. Fortunately for Mr. Ramsey has never had to make a tough decision in the creme puff position he has held.

What's funny about you saying that is that all of my friends more entrenched in politics (a couple even for Wamp) thought Haslam won the debate last night and most others (either independent or Democrat) all thought Wamp and Ramsey looked like idiots.

Wamp definitely lost more than he won last night.

Those errors led to this country being further in debt and closer to a European socialist style country. If he gets nominated I hope he gets fiscally conservative, I like him on everything else. Just not sure I could vote for him with his support of these votes.

Opinions vary, I am not surprised that your independent and Dem. friends thought Wamp and Ramsey looked like idiots, I could see them supporting Haslam.

Well, I guess instead of independent I should have said undecided Republicans. Nearly all of my friends lean one way or the other.

He just makes me nervous, and he donated money to Al Gore, he also joined Bloomberg in mayors against guns.

Al Gore in 1988 is nowhere near the Al Gore in 2010.

As for the gun thing....I'm at a point that I think it's laughable that this issue is so important in a gubenatorial election.

I find it very important, a governor can push legislation that makes it more difficult to buy and/or carry.

And I fully realize that I live in Tennessee and that that no matter how much a governor may want to do that it will cost him about as much as trying to enact an income tax thus I don't worry about it.

I'm much more concerned with making sure someone is in office who can attract companies here that provide jobs.

I think you trust him too much, I hope you are right and he is great because I fully believe he is our next governor.

I guess I need to do some research. I don't know anything about this, but it sounds bad...

It's not good IMO. He joined Bloomberg in this then all of a sudden when he starts thinking about running for governor he withdrawls his support of the mayors against guns.
